My Friends Today I am Angry REALLY REALLY ANGRY ! Why I Will Tell You Why ! Because being in the Medicaid Expansion Gap Claimed Another Victim ! And A Young One Again too !

The latest Victim of Our Heartless Politicians is*** Jenny Steinke A 36 year old Idaho Woman ! She died of Asthma last month. Jenny was married to Jaaon Steinke had a child and grandchild on the way ! Why did she have to die ? Because She and Jason worked but couldn’t afford insurance ! They qualified for Medicaid but Idaho also Will Not #ExpandMedicaidNow ! They almost had insurance so Jenny could see a Doctor but it was too late !  Jenny relied on Friends for Medicine and a Public Health Clinic ! But She needed to see a specialist and Couldn’t !

Sound Familiar All ? Does The name Charlene Dill Ring  A Bell ? Yes Charlene Dill 32 year old Mom of 3 who died of a Heart Attack selling Vacuums  on A Strangers Porch ! What Do Jenny and Charlene have in common ? Age in their 30’s both moms and hard workers who struggle to survive ! And Both Died TOO YOUNG AND TOO SOON !

Yes both of them like me sought treatment In an An Emergency Room ! But it is not the same as seeing A Primary Care Physician or IF NEEDED A Specialist ! It can not pay for life saving Medicines !

I live with Asthma too ! I am lucky to have a Dad help with my Medicine ! But let me tell you without him THIS COULD BE ME !

What Does An Asthma Attack Feel Like ? Well imagine Bronchitis only Worse ! Imagine making A Fist and getting tighter and tighter ! Only it is in your Lungs ! You Cough Puke and Almost Choke from Lack Of Air ! That Folks Is An Asthma Attack its scairy painful and If not treated by Proper Medicine and A Doctor or Emergency Personell Quickly …..ITS DEADLY !

Both of these women died too young ! It didn’t have to be either !  Many Tell me on Social Media What These GOP GOVERNORS AND STATE HOUSES ARE DOING IS MURDER ! I Agree ! Something must be done and soon ! Families losing Loved Ones Is Sad !

I Fight This Fight Daily with my Friend Amy Rodriquez who fights to keep Daughter Gen Alive ! Gen too battles to Breathe as she had part of her lung removed ! She is 21 and DESERVES A LONG HEALTHY LIFE ! Give her A Chance At It  And  #ExpandMedicaidNow Please ? Amy has to Raise money for her ! This Is sad and pathetic that WE As A NATION CAN AND WILL NOT SUCK IT UP AND PAY TO KEEP THE SICK AND POOR WELL ! But prefer to HATE OUR PRESIDENT SABOTAGE HIM KILLING INNOCENT VICTIMS LIKE Charlene Dill and Jenny Steinke in The Process !

And I Hear of A new wrinkle Some in the ACA may Go Without Healthcare As A Protest over Prices ! Well if you do You may be joining Jenny and Charlene ! I wouldn’t do it but its your choice ! And A foolish one at that ! If you can pay for Healthcare Do It Its Worth It ! IT WILL SAVE  YOUR LIFE !

So All Who Read This In America and Globally I Ask You Help Us Stop The Deaths ! Call Your Elected Officials And Tell Them if in a State that has Not Expanded Medicaid To #ExpandMedicaidNow ! IT COULD SAVE A FAMILY MEMBERS LIFE, A FRIEND, NEIGHBOR, CO-WORKER , OR EVEN YOUR OWN ! Because one Death like this too many ! And We had ONE TOO MANY ALLREADY AMERICA ! Think So ?

My Friends As You know I am The Voice and The Face of #ExpandMedicaidNow I recently had the honor of Having My Portrait Painted (Shown Above ) by Renowned Artist Theresa BrownGold Founer of Art As A Social Inquiry ! One of the things she wanted to do was express through her work what irs like to be Uninsured !

I try to do this with my WORDS ! That is my goal to be A Voice For The Voiceless ! So today I am going to try to articulate from my perspective As An Uninsured Adult !

Personally IT ABSOLUTELY SUCKS BEING UNINSURED ! The Constant Fear of What Next haunts you when sick ! I had a week that was just ridiculous when it comes to Accessimg Healthcare !

Let me begin by shattering A Myth of Healthcare ! That Hospitals Can Heal You If Sick ! Not True contrary to meme below 

This is A myth Hospitals are there to Save The injured and dying ! That is their purpose ! Not to act as a dentist or primary care physician ! But if Uninsured you can not see A Primary Care Physician ! Why It Costs Money ! Some Depend on County or City Public Health Clinics ! A Good idea at One Time but Not Now !

Why because they lack sufficient funding and staffing ! I went 2 weeks ago just to get a check up and my new Prescriptions for my Asthma Medicine ! The PA wrote me a Prescription for One Medicine I do not take and can not afford ! This same Clinic almost denied me access to it over proof of residency 6 months earlier !
So what did I Do ? My Dad had to take me to A Walgreens Clinic and I fortunately got the proper Medicine ! But it cost us $200.00 for this ! Many do not have it ! What do they do take the wrong Medicine get sick and die ? Or take no mediciine get sick and die ! 

The Above meme by my friend Jerrie Mashburn says it well ! She was among many of my friends on Social Media who are Outaged at the neglect going on ! I am outraged too !

I am Outraged too That in 2015 ! I can not have access to Affordable Primary Care ! That I can not go to A regular Doctor ! A quality Hospital if neeeded, because of where I live ! That my Friend Amy Rodriquez has to beg and do A Fundraiser for her Now 21 year old daughter Genesis Rodriquez ! That I have to depend on the kindness of family and friends to survive ! Just Because I Am POOR AND SICK !

I hate the stress of not knowing WHAT NEXT ?  I had a debste on Facebook yesterday with an Opponet of Medicaid Expansion ! He gave the same stupid argument about costs ! Yet I challenged him to be Compassionate and he didn’t like thst at All ! I CAN NOT STAND THIS MINDSET ! It Is One Of SELFISHNESS AND PLAIN IGNORANCE ! I Am sick and tired of seeing the sick die too soon ! Now Texas has more Uninsured than We do in Fl !

It is Not Fun to haggle over healthcare ! To have to put up with Debt and Bankruptcy ! Just to Stay Alive ! This is the stress of What Next ! Can I go to a Doctor ? See A Specialist ,have tests if needed etc ? It is a terrible tradgedy in Our Nation ! To see The Martin Shkrelli’s of the World try to Jack Medicine Prices Up  ! A nightmare for those of us who need them just to Live !

You Shouldn’t have to be Uninsured in America ! But due to the Willfull ignorance of some I am ! The ACA was my chance at dignity and peace of mind ! I want Healthcare badly it absolutely is so frustrating to be Uninsured too and see others with insurance cards get care ! It is NOT FAIR AND ITS NOT RIGHT ! While I have to Worry and Think WHAT NEXT ?

The Solution of Course to #ExpandMedicaidNow ! So We can get quality care ! Because Public Clinics and Hospitals will continue to close until this gers fixed ! Then what We The Uninsured  die at home  or on the street ? Victims of A SICK SELFISH MORALLY BSNKRUOT GROUP OF PEOPLE ? ….I HOPE NOT ! That is why I Fight to See All Insured Join me Help Us America and The World ! We The Uninnsured Need and Deserve Dignity ! And Not Pain Suffering Fear and Death ! But Life Lived to ITS FULL POTENTIAL ! Help Us to #ExpandMedicaidNow Please ? Its Your Choice America and The World ! Ignore Us  or Save Us !

My Friends The Above Meme is Correct from where I stand ! There is a disgusting, dehumanizing, debilitating feeling when you are poor ! And IT MUST STOP ! The GOP always has been The Party of Divide and Conquer for its master GREED ! Trust me I Live This daily ! As a Disabled Adult hoping to Get SSI ! And I have No income and No Healthcare either ! My Reality and The Reality of Those Like me who work hard in ANONYMITY and STRUGGLE IN SILENCE

The Above Memes Say It All ! They Are my reality and The reality of many in America who are poor and CAN NOT AFFORD TO BUY HEALTH INSURANCE ! Yes many States were kind and did #ExpandMedicaid ! To the Poor – I commend them for it ! But mine Fl didn’t neither did many states in the South and Midwest !

This was done out of HATE OF President Obama ! ……And A HATE OF THE POOR AND WORKING MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE HE CHAMPIONED ! People like myself Amy and Gen Rodriquez who are stuck in a quicksand like environment called being Sick and Poor ! There are 1 Million in Fl and 1 Million in Texas too that are uninsured ! It is so bad even College Professors without tenure are going Uninsured !

Who Else Is ARE VICTIMS IN THE WAR ON THE POOR ! Fast Food Workers, Temp Workers, Servers, Cooks, Housekeepers, Custodians, and Store Casheirs, and Stock People ! Why they mostly work part time and do not get enough hours to Survive !

Their only Hope is A Raise In Minimum Wage to $15.00 ! As Prices Go UP UP UP ! … Wages Stay the same ! When I was able to work as a bagger I made at most $600.00 a month ! This was in 2006 ! I made $6.50 per hr and got 32 hrs part time ! I couldn’t rent a place to live !
Now It is worse ! Average Rent is $1500.00 For A 1 Bedroom apt ! Plus food, and Car Payments its impossible to survive !

And Guess Whar many SENIORS and THE DISABLED ARE BATTLING POVERTY TOO ! I have a friend who is fighting to get healthcare improved so she can pay for her meds ! I had a friend tell me today about her HMO or Supplimental being too expensive ! Many seniors get Food Stamps too ! But what can you buy with $20.00 a month !

Yet We get KICKED WHEN WE ARE DOWN ! First By SARAH PALIN , then Mr 47 % MITT ROMMNEY , Now DONALD TRUMP HATER OF IMMIGRANTS AND WORKERS ! Plus Paul Ryan, Scott Walker, and Rick Scott ! Who say they will HELP WE THE POOR ! But help themselves and Hurt us with bad Policies ! Policies designed to Help keep Them and The monied interests they love Wealthy ! NAMED KOCH, ADDLESON, AND WALTON ! As In WAL MART !

Yes Wal Mart Lip Service Champion of The World ! They say We care about our workers ! Yet in one store last year They had a Food Drive FOR EMPLOYEES ! Purposely kept them poor so they would get FOOD STAMPS AND MEDICAID ! Many have had it The Solutions Below :

Yes A Fifteen Dollar Minimum Wage Will Help Immediately and Create Disposable Income too ! Medicaid Expansion with #ExpandMedicaidNow will keep workers Healthy ! It will save lives ! My Friends Today I am going to talk about something I am very concerned about ! It is something I personally Fear ! Being the Victim of A Violent Crime or Shooting ! And living to tell about it ! No One talks about What if an Uninsured person gets hurt or shot in a crime ! Why is that ? 280,000 Deaths As above meme says Unacceptable ! 20,000 Murders by Gun Unacceptable !

But how about the survivors ? If you are shot and Uninsured or stabbed even ? What Then ….what do you face ? Yes you will be rushed to ER and Trauma Center ! But then what ? Yes Hospital Charity will cover you ! ….But for how long ? The ACA Affordable Care Act is in effect and Baker Kerry -(Hospital Charity) will sunset ! As a Result many Hospitals may close if Medicaid in 18 States who refuse to Expand It do not reconsider !

The Great Part of The ACA is it covers victims of Violent crime for All Medical Exoenses ! If Uninsured its a nightmare ! After you get out of The Hospital you will have mountains of Bills as Not All Medical Providers accept Charity ! Then you face Out Patient Care With Possible Doctor Bills, Physical Therapy,  and Mental Health Care too ! If you can Afford it ! Many can’t !

And several others by gun ! How about Tequilla Forshee an 11 yr old in Miami Gardens Fl. Shot and killed in her home. The murders shot through the windows killing her ! Yes these deaths also are Gov Scott ‘s  (R) Fl fault because of neglect !
Neglect because The NRA WILL NOT Let Congress Pass Background Checks ! Or even ban the sale of certain guns too ! States like mine Fl refuse to lead on this either !
We Simply must Demand Better ! Yes Demand Better from Congress, The State Houses, Governors, Mayors ,and Commissioners ! We deserve SAFE SCHOOLS, MALLS , COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES, AND STORES TO SHOP IN ! No Armed wannabe militias parading around pushing OPEN CARRY with Assault Rifles !

Yes I see The TEARS and BLOOD DAILY ! If Not Nationally on TV Locally ! How much does it take to motivate Us s as a Nation, to change this ? I am sick of seeing The Tears of Families Ripped apart by this ! I am sick of having in the back of my mind I could be them ! And None of Us Should Be ! We don’t have to !

But they need help ! To enact change ! So my question is HOW MANY MORE SCENES LIKE YESTERDAY CAN WE TAKE ? HOW MUCH MORE TEARS, BLOOD, AND THE DEATH OF INNOCENT PEOPLE MUST WE SEE ?  …..What Will it take for YOU AMERICA TO PUSH FEDERAL STATE AND LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIALS FOR CHANGE ?

My Friends today in Rosewod Oregon at Umpqua Community College 13 People Were Killed ! How shot by crazed gunman ! Again in America We deal with multiple deaths by Gun !
First I want to say my THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO ALL VICTIMS AND THEIR FAMILIES !

Second As I watched President Obama I agree with him that this is old allready ! How many times must we mourn losses like this ? Are We That NUMB AS A NATION ? After SANDY HOOK ! It should have been ENOUGH !!…….But today shows it never is !

As the above meme says 280,024 Dead by gun ! That had lives, ,families ,hopes ,and dreams ! That were cut short ! Because of Guns !

Gun Violence Is Nationwide Big City Small Town ! Red Blue State ! Rich Poor !  Death by Gun doesn’t driscriminate ! It takes lives from those who love them !

I live in S.Florida where not a day goes by someone doesn’t get shot ! It is predictable ! And it should not be so ! Are We So Cold as a Nation that we are NUMB TO THIS ?

We need to Stop The Bullets, Blood, and Tears allready ! Too many of our young die too soon ! Too many in the wrong place at the wrong time die !

My worst nightmare is to get shot as an uninsured person in Fl ! It is a financial and emotional disaster waiting to happen ! Hopefully not for me or anyone else ! But if We As A Nation continue to let The NRA dictate Public Policy it will !
We need Background Checks and Common Sense Gun Laws ! Banning Guns is unrealistic and could be deadly ! I know that not all who own guns are bad ! But there needs to be more responsibility ! The Laws must change !
