My Friends I have another Medicaid Expansion story to tell you about in Florida.

This Time it involves My Friend and Super Advocate Carol Jones. Carol works with the Didabled. She is Very passionate about it. She started as a Child as an Advocate by defending A Boy with a Bad Leg in school

Soon She was a Professional Care Attendant And CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT . She spent her whole life Helping others. Especially the #Disabled who she has a Huge Heart For.

Carol works with NATIONAL ADAPT – The Non profit organization who advocates for Disabilaty Rights. She has been arrested several times as an Advocate on this cause. Last Year Carol was with The ADAPT Family in Wasington D.C. Fighting to #ProtectOurCare. And She and ADAPT Won !! Saving Access to Affordable Quality #Healthcare For 52 Million Americans. Thank You ADAPT Family and Carol for keeping this Advocate’s Dream of #ExpandMedicaidNow in Fl alive without them No one would have Healthcare in America except the Wealthy or Those over age 65.

Now Carol Retired with her Husband Doug to Florida. She is building the Florida ADAPT Chapter of which I am A proud member.

But because She retired early Carol has No #Healthcare. And She Needs it as She lost hearing in one ear and needs medical help for other issues.

Again Florida Governor Rick Scott (R) and The State Legislature cause undue hardship . By Not taking Federal Medicaid Expansion Funds. There are 1 Million Plus in Fl #Uninsured including myself and Amy Rodriquez of **

Carol Jones Deserves Better America!! She served Others selflessly . Why should She retire and Go without access to Affordable Quality #Healthcare?? This is Not Just Fair or Right !! To Make someone who worked their whole life suffer. This is Creul and Inhumane to do this to the elderly or retirees .

So For Carol We Now Must #ExpandMedicaidNow. The #Impact will be giving a Lady who gave so much to others the Dignity She deserves . So much in Fact There is even A Carol Jones Award named for her. Given to Nurses and Caregivers who exemplify what Carol has done to help others. FYI When President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (D) created Social Security and President Lyndon Johnson (D) Created Medicare and Medicaid They were intended to give the old poor Disabled and Sick A Dignified Retirement . So why Shouldn’t Carol Jones and others like her have This America ??
