My Friends as my meme says too many are suffering in a pain Only they see ,hear ,and feel. It is a pain of Mental Illness. It comes in many forms All Are Treatable . There is Hope its called treatment via medications and Therapy.

We must end this stigma. But not all are helping do this. In States who did not #ExpandMedicaidNow the #Impact is potentially devastating.!  Families destroyed and lives lost. Why you ask ? Because of antiquicated thinking and putting money before the welfare of Our Citizens.

Our priority should be to have All who need Mental Heath Treatments be able to have access to them. They must be affordable and Available to All. #ExpandMedicaidNow will provide that for the most vulnerable the poor and homeless,

And We as A Society must not label those who suffer as “Bad” or Judge and Condemn them !  After all we are our Brothers and Sisters keeper ! And Mental Ilnness can happen to anyone at any time in the forms of Depression, Anxiety, and Substance Abuse. All of which if untreated can destroy lives.  Untreated Mental Illness can destroy innocent people – Family members, Co Workers, Friends and innocent bystanders too. By being in the wrong place at the wrong time.!

But if there is Treatment available lives can and will be saved ! Having a positive #Impact on Society. 

So to All suffering in Silence ….You Are Not Alone ! There is Help and Hope For You ! Please seek Treatment ! It Will Get You Out of The Dark to The Light where things are Cleaerer  !

My Friends We Are 10 Days since #PulseNightClubShooting In #Orlando Fl  I hope our Nation Gets it like #OrlandoUnited on Sunday A beautiful, peaceful gathering. That was held at Lake Eola Park in Downtown #Orlando Fl. It even had a Rainbow A nice touch for the #LGBT Community.

But many are hurting Still 49 People died and 53 Wounded ! That will take a long time to heal. But many can not do A Simple thing to Heal this !

The Simple thing Is PASS A GUN SAFETY ANTI TERROR LAW !! Yet as Usual Congress Is the PUPPET OF THE NRA ! National Rifle Association.   Who pay the GOP Members Way with Campaign Cash !  My thoughts via this meme Below :

Yes this MEME I made says it All ! You can Vote For War ! Using A Gun to Kill in other places ! Yet You Can’t Vote To Stop Assault Weapons From Being Used in Your Own Nation ! Leaving people in the situation in a Horrible Emotional, and Financial Situation. As I said above it is a Double Nightmare ! First Your shot then you face ridiculous Medical Bills just to get well again ! The #Impact is Finacially and Emotionally Devastating.

Yes Hate plays a role in this too as the same mindset and people who hate the ACA aka ObamaCare also are in the pockets of the NRA !  This Hate must be disarmed it kills people who are Uninsured or Are shot ! Dead Is Dead. SHOT IS SHOT ! It knows No Race, Ethnicity, Sexual Orientation, Gender or Social Economic Status ! This hate does not discriminate !  It kills and is Destroying America , 49 People died last Sunday Lets Not Ever Forget it ! !   So We Must Tell Congress to #DisArmHate  !  So We may Live ! Because this hate Does kill you !  And How many more must die ? #NotOneMore if you ask me ! We need #Gunsense to #DisArmHate America !

My Friends I have a few thoughts on What happened this Weekend in #Orlando #Fl this weekend !  I am Heartboken to see A m
ajor City in the State I Love be a scene of so much sadness ! I used to Live in Ocala Fl 60 miles North of Orlando. I watched the news on TV from there. At one time I wanted to go to College At The University of Central Florida. It Is A Great Community for A Major City   !   In short Orlando and Florida DID NOT DESERVE THIS !  The #LGBT Community did not deserve this ! No One Deserves This ! To be targeted by hate and Terrorism.

As I said This Junk must end ! Too many die by Gun ! Way  Too many ! Now Factor in Terrorists from ISIS, and You have a Nightmare ! Yes All A Nightmare ! And of Course Nothing gets Done !

I hurt for those lost ! I hurt for Orlando, My State, and My Nation ! We deserve better !  This was An Act of Terror and A Hate Crime ! Leaving 50 Plus Dead ! And 50 Plus wounded needlessly ! Lives Changed Forever ! Due to Our Insane Obsession with Coddling The NRA ! THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
Guess What NRA  You Are Now ISIS Best Friend ! How does that make you feel ! You betrayed your Nation You Claim to Protect ! By turning A Blind Eye to the sale of ASSAULT WEAPONS ! So you caused those people to die ! Those shot and living to suffer for the rest of their lives ! You allow Forces of Hate to Destroy the Innocent ! Daily it happens ! But this time It Was Just Too Much ! Many are destroyed by your support of Destruction ! 

But God Bless The Orlando Community ! They are #OrlandoStrong ! They banded together with the #LGBT Community in A Show of Love Peace and Solidarity ! Against Your hate !  I am proud of them ! Plus they gave Blood like crazy at Blood Banks to save Lives !

So America Can and Will You Learn From Orlando ? I Love Florida and want better for it and My Nation !  We must stop the guns Period ! One life lost is too many !

And Finally Thank you to All Police, Law Enforcement Fire and EMS who responded in Orlando that day ! You too Are Heroes !

My Friends Today I am going to tell you a short Version of 3 Stories of the Uninsured !  Myself and My two Friends Amy Rodriguez and her Daughter Genesis Rodriguez.  Due to Florida Not Expanding Medicaid and its #Impact.

Mariamee Amy Rodriguez is a 42 year old Mom of two daughters Genesis and Stephany. All of whom Face Severe health issues. Amy works as a Part Time Social Worker. Because she works Part Time she is ineligible For ACA Healthcare related subsidies. 
She suffers from back pain and Fibromyalgia making her life quite difficult. Especially when having others who are sick in your family ! And You are the soul Breadwinner and all are Uninsured.!

Genesis Rodriguez
Genesis Rodriguez is 21 years old. She had a portion of a lung removed at age 17. She has chronic Lung Disease plus Asthma since Childhood. And is Uninsured Sick and desperately needs medicines to live. Her Medicines cost her $10,000.00 A month !  Something her Mom Amy (Above Story and Pictures)  Does Not Have !  Is it Right to let a Promising Young Lady Suffer like this ?

I am a 46 year old who Never has had healthcare in My Adult lifetime. I have had Asthma since age 16. Which caused me to be dropped from My Family Policy ! I have several disabilities since Childhood ! One an Eye Condition A Tracking Disorder I never knew I had !

My Friends There is Good News on Healthcare. According to Families USA and The ACA. 9 out of 10 Americans are Insured ! This is a huge Improvement over 8 years ago. Before The Affordable Care Act (ACA) (ObamaCare) became law !  At that time over 30 Million people were Uninsured !

Currently the numbers vary ! Yet in 19 States who refused Federal Medicaid Funds ! Many Still are Sick, Suffering,  and Dying ! The States are :
Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina,  Virginia, Tennesee, Idaho, Utah, Missouri, Alabama, Missippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Maine, Kansas, Wisconsin,  South Dakota, Texas.
With Louisiana ,and Wyoming Considering Expansion or Having Finally Expanded Currrently.

The Largest Population of Uninsured are in Texas and Florida. Florida is my home state and I too am Uninsured in it ! 

This should be an outrage yet it falls on Deaf Ears ! Many Nations do not sweat Giving Healthcare to their citizens ! They View it as The Morally Responsible, or Right Thing to Do ! 

They also Do Not Worry about providing Medicine to those who need it either ! We as a Nation have work to do on Health care ! Many are insured but can not afford medicines in America !  For Example My Friend Genesis Rodriguez who is Uninsured ! She needs Healthcare as She has only one lung working. But she also needs to be able to afford her medicines. They cost $10,000.00 a month ! Her mom Amy Rodriguez is a part time Social Worker. Who too is Uninsured and can not afford Medicine either !  Many Elderly and disabled are in this problem too !

So my Friends its not just the poor and Unemployed who need access to Medical Care and Medicines. But white Collar professionals and Our Elderly as well ! The reason the Co Pays are unaffordable.  So We must do this
1. #ExpandMedicaidNow So All Are Insured and Can See A Doctor !
2. Fix Prescription Drug Prices So They Are Affordable For All.
3. Fix Co Pays and Deductibles.
4. Make Sure All Medical Providers Honor All Inusrances both Public and Private.
5. Add Dental, Vision, and Hearing Aids Coverage
6. Transition to #SinglePayer Healthcare !

So my Friends There you have it We can stay at 90 Percent or go backwards ! Or We can be At 100 Percent Covered ! Your Choice America ! Give my Friend Genesis a Long Healthy Life or see her and her Mom Amy Struggle ! Both along with me are pictured beloe  For Them We Must : #ExpandMedicaidNow

My Friends Today I am going to Share a little of My Faith based life with you !  As you know I was called to Begin my Healthcare Activism at Church ! That Church Calvary Chapel Hollywood . In Hollywood Florida has more given birth to more than my Activist Ministry ! Yes it is where #ExpandMedicaidNow Started !

But I have some friends who I used to serve with when I went there who are doing some really special things  !  Today I am going to tell you about a Special form of Activism ! One that began over 2016 years ago  ! It is the Ultimate form of Activism : Preaching The Gospel of Jesus Christ ! Many died doing this ! But many serve the Community by doing  this !
Jesus Commanded Us to :”Love Thy Neighbor ” 

Well my Friends at the 180Project.org do just that. This organization was founded in 2011 by Andres Phillipe Carrero, and Alex Duenas. They started Preaching the Gospel all ovet South Florida !  The Ministry wad and still is Called NotForgotten Ministries. But has evolved into the 180Project.org to Show with Christ You Change  and do not end up in the same spot ! These two men and Family members can be found Every Monday Night doing just that ! Their base is Arts Park @ Young Circle Hollywood Florida ! This is their Church !

Yes a Park is their Church just like it was to St. Peter in Acts Chapter 2. Where He Preached A Great sermon and many were Saved that day . They fo alot more than Preach ! They do All Christ Commanded them to do. They break bread with the homeless, lost, and destitute.  Ministering to them as Jesus told them to !  Yes they feed the hungry and Pray for those in need !

Because of their great Love for others they decided to take it a bit further . They are Now doing Church in The Park every month as a Formal Church Service Outdoors ! Just like it began ! 

And They are Not done sharing the Love of Christ. In November they plan the WeROne Music Festival in the same park ! They also partner with Us at #ExpandMedicaidNow !  As both of Us are called to help the less fortunate in Society.  So All please experience Church in the Park ! Its #Impact May Change Your Life !

My Friends I may have good news on How Many people are Actually Uninsured in Florida ! Thanks to an Estimate by Florida Chain it may not be 1 Million Uninsured in Florida ! But new estimates are still at 500,000 Plus ! This is good that I may have overestimated the number of Uninsured in my state ! Or that many finally got Health insurance !

But 500,000 Plus Still Is Not Acceptable ! Yes Governor Scott (R), Former Fl House Speaker Weatherford (R), Current Fl House Speaker Crissifulli (R) and Future Speaker Corcoran (R)  ! You Did Not Get Away with One !  We The Uninsured of Florida are still here ! We Did not Go Away like You Wished We Would !

One Person Uninsured is too Many ! It should be an outrage what you have done ! And so coldly and creully continue to do ! Yes you let Genesis Rodriguez still suffer at 21 With little or No Medicines ! Why she is Uninsured and can not afford to Pay the $10,000.00 a month it costs for her Respiratory Medicines ! She could Pay it if she had Medicaid !

But No Florida refused to #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Leaving Genesis sick many days ! She uses Claritin, and Cough Syrup to Survive ! She at age 17 had part of her lung removed due to respiratory issues !  Her Mom Amy Rodriguez also suffers as She is A Part Time Social Worker and is Uninsured too !  Amy too is sick and can not afford Medical care !  Along with myself over 30 years Uninsured ! You see below Pictures of Amy, Genesis, and myself below.

My point being One person who is sick and Uninsured should be an embarrassing thing to Us as A Nation ! We should #ExpandMedicaidNow so NO ONE IS LEFT BEHIND SICK AND SUFFERING NEEDLESS LY ! Or Dies an Unnecessary Death !  So One Uninsured person is Too Many We must #ExpandMedicaidNow for them ! The #Impact will save and improve the lives of many ! My Friends the choice is yours Is One Uninsured person too many For You America ? It is For me !

My Friends He is at it again ! The Governor of My State Florida (R) Rick Scott ! Yes He of Columbia HCA Hospitals Fame !  Yes as the meme above shows he denied We The Sick and Poor of Fl Dental care !  There are Currently 1 Million Uninsured in Fl.

As You can see in the above meme featuring myself Amy Rodriquez and Gen Rodriguez.  We are The Faces of the people Gov Scott does not want YOU TO SEE ! We Are The Uninsured of Florida !  Genesis suffers from Chronic Lung Disorder. Had part of one lung removed ! And currently uses cough syrup as medicine. As proper Medicines for her Respiratory Condition cost $10,000.00 per month ! Amy her Mom is a Part Time Social Worker and has no insurance too ! All of Us Fall into a situation no one should be in : Healthcare Limbo !  We face debt and death ! Why Gov Scott of course ! He of Turn a blind eye and Tin ear to his neediest citizens !  We Go the Hospitals because of him for Medical Treatment   because he refuses to #ExpandMedicaidNow as meme below says.

I Wholeheartedly Applaud the Courage of #CaraJennings for standing up to him for We The Uninsured !  We must as She said :” :”#StopRickScott !”  He has allready caused Charlene Dill to die too young  She too needed Medicaid ! She died working 3 jobs on a strangers porch ! Needing access to a Doctor and Medicine ! Sound Familiar All ? 

Yes Our Governor the man who opposed a Minimum wage hike to $15.00. And belives YALE and Silicon Valley will come to Florida ! Why should they they have it great in Connecticut and  California ! The People there  that work will get paid $15.00 per hour in CA. And in Both Conn. And CA. They did #ExpandMedicaidNow thus insuring the poor and showing compassion for the most vulnerable in Society ! Unlike Greedy Rick Scott ! Who the People of California told to GET LOST ! When he tried to steal jobs from them for Florida ! 

Gov .Scott  also denies #ClimateChange ! Thus with water levels rising could lead to many in Florida being homeless one day !  Plus puts the Uninsured like myself and Genesis at risk due to high humidity levels ! Thus making it hard for me an asthmatic and Genesis to Breathe ! 

In Short my friends this man is an incompetent,  unfeeling, cold menace ! Who wants to Run for U.S. Senate or the White House in the Future ! We must #StopRickScott ! He turned a blind eye to #TreyvanMartin and #JordanDavis too ! Who too died and Got  No Justice in Florida !  Because our Gov lets people have guns who shouldn’t too ! 

My Thoughts :
“Governor Rick Scott is a Public Health Menace to Florida ! Due to his negligent attitude and actions towards his people !”

Gov. Scott asks for Federal Funds for #ZikaVirus But if you get it and are poor he would not #ExpandMedicaidNow to treat you !  So isn’t that great !  This shows how he doesn’t have the ability to make wise decisions ! 

Therefore my friends We must #StopRickScott ! He is a danger to us All
We must #ExpandMedicaidNow, #ClosetheGap ,have #Justice in Florida, and #FightFor15 to #StopRickScott ! So We by doing this #StopRickScott and his inhumane agenda !

My Friends May is an important month for Healthcare. May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. This is a vital cause as many suffer silently going with out access to care. In some cases this can lead to the destruction of entire families.  Some who are related some as innocent victims. Due to people who suffer not being able to get treatment ! It is a cause of alot of Gun Violence in America !  Many suffer from Depression, Anxiety, Bi Polar Disorder, and Substance Abuse. They could be your Family,  Friends, coworkers, or neighbors. 

As my meme above shows Many seek Treatment in the Hospital Emergency Room. This is not the proper place for them either. Jail and the Prison system are not also, The Solution and need is access to Long Term Psychological Care in the form of a Therapist or Doctor. With access to Medications and Therapies Long Term.

In Some states this problem is being solved by #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Provding through Medicaid access to Mental Health Treatment ! Thus impoving the lives of those suffering.  Not all with Mental Health Issues are Violent. But they still through no treatment of tneir illness can destroy lives especially their own.

18 States Refuse to #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Its #Impact  on the communities In them is not always good ! Too many result in Gun Tradgedies that are preventable. Too many act in anger due to their illnesses harming many innocent adult’s and kids. The result of Selfish greedy, Spiteful Politicians !

Is There a way to stop this ? If so why hasn’t it happened ? Yes there is a way ! By #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Then those seking help can get access to vital Mental Health Services ! Thus keeping Families intact, and saving innocent lives ! By providing access to a Doctor or Therapist, those who suffer can heal !  Not harm themselves or others !
Thus preventimg crime and saving lives ! Keeping families intact also.

And many can also develop Mental Health issues from being Sick and Uninsured ! The Stress of living in Poverty creats Anxiety, and Depression. As does not being able to afford Healthcare ! The mere fact of Bankruptcy causes this too ! Plus not being able to afford Medications ! This is what many We Do Not See Face daily ! !t is a Hidden Epidemic !  That can destroy ! Yet if Access to Care is Available Will Save Lives !  The Choice is Yours America See people suffer silently ! Or Heal them and Give them Dignity by #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Thus saving lives and Families in the process !
For Those Who Need To Please Seek Treatment ! You will not only help yourself but others around you too ! Thus getting you out of the Dark and into the Light ! There are options out there and peolple who care and want to help you !  I too have sought help and my life is better for it !  Yours Will Be Too !
