My Friends We Face the Healthcare nightmare I have been writing about in Fl. As soon as this year ! The year ended badly for 57 yr old Barbara Dawson of Bluntoen Fl. Ms Dawson was ill and went to her local hospital.   **

They discharged Ms Dawson from the Hospital too soon. She complained to them she was still ill ! They ended up calling the Police to Escort her out of the Hospital ! They did just that despite her pleas for help and that she was In pain ! Dashboard Cam showed her dying outside the hospital in police custody ! There were rumours She was uninsured and the Hospital kicked her out ! Not wanting to treat her but do only enough to get by ! This is just disgusting to let a person suffer and die like that !  Especially if she was not insured !

But We Face more of this in Fl because of No Medicaid Expansiom ! This killed Charlene Dill ! It may also have killed Barbara Dawson too !

It will get worse because Now Federal LIP LOW INCOME POOL Dollars will go from 1 BILLION DOLLARS to just $608 Million in 2016 ** **Seource Miami Hearld Sun Jan 10, 2016 ! Legislature Returns Seeking Unity P-2  By Mary Ellen Klas.

The LIP Affects me personally as an Uninsured person !  I have to use it to go to the hospital or a County clinic !  There are 1 Million of Us in Fl who face death now like Charlene Dill and Ms Dawson did ! LIP is Hospital Charity for those of us who are uninsured and too poor to pay ! It is a chance to see a doctor too through clinic programs !
But many like Genesis and Amy Rodriguez can not even qualify for that ! Which is why many die too young and too soon ! Having no Health care is an instant slow DEATH SENTENCE ! And There are DEATH PANELS ! The DEATH PANELS ARE : THOSE DENYING WE THE UNINSURED access to Good Quality Affordable Healthcare through #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Amy, Gen, and I  are are among 1 Million Uninsured in Florida ! We are pictured in several memes in this blog !

We Are The Faces of WE THE UNINSURED !! And in 2016 WE MEAN BUSINESS ! We are tired of being ; Sick, Tired , and Ignored ! So Know This Fl Legislature and Gov Scott – OUR VOICES SHALL BE HEARD IN 2016   !  We Will Put #ExpandMedicaidNow on the Ballot to #SaveGen in Florida , and the many like her ! Who suffer because of your cold indifference to Us !

My Friends last year I wrote a Blog Titled : A Mothers Fight To #ExpandMedicaidNow ! It was about my friend Amy Rodriguez ,and her quest to #ExpandMedicaidNow. To get her sick daughter Genesis Medicaid to save her life ! But there is more to this story as I will tell you !

Amy is a Tireless Activist in her Community ! She works with Catalyst Miami to improve the lives of those in Miami and Miami Dade County ! But her cause is like mine Medicaid Expansion. Here In Photo below she is pictured witn U,S. REP Frederika Wilson (D) Miami- Dade and Fl State Sen Dwight Bullard lobbying for the cause .

But besides her tireless Advocacy and Activism for others Amy too suffers ! She too is Uninsured like Daughter Genesis, and this author ! Amy suffers from FIBROMYALGIA – A debilitating Neurological disorder that can cause severe physical pain leaving you bedridden for days sometimes !

But On She Fights for others ! In spite of the physical pain she has ! She gets up goes to work in a part time job doing Social Work in Mental Health Thus putting her in the Medicaid Gap ! She works but not enough to qualify for A Plan with The ACA AFFORDABLE CARE ACT / OBAMACARE ! She is one of many like this ! Then she comes home to help a Sick Genesis or her mom who recently had a stroke ! That in itself is a full time job !

Recently Amy had a bout with severe Headaches ! I asked her about it ! She told me : ” The Stress from the headaches does not help her FIBROMYALGIA At All ! ”
She said :”The Stress is from being uninsured not being able to care for yourself, or Gen like we should ”

In short Stress from being Uninsured can takes years off your life ! Amy has to fight like crazy to keep Gen alive ! This is a stress NO ONE SHOULD HAVE ! She has to fight for herself and others like me too ! And it is just appaling and disgusting ! That in 2016 people are still without Healthcare ! It is sad that a 42 year old woman who raised 2 daughters on her own suffers like this ! She does what a great mom does protect her kids and sacrifice for them !

During the episode she had with Headaches Genesis had a little extra money and had to help her mom buy medicine ! The same Genesis who desperately needs Breathing Medicines costing over $10,000 A Month ! Did this for her mom. A Mom who loves her kids does her best and suffers !

She suffers because of a few selfish unfeeling politicians who Will Not #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Amy deserves better than this ! For all those she helps ! Yet people make foolish political decisions based on saving money, or hate of President Obama ! …And This Must Stop ! Genesis Amy , myself and WE THE UNINSURED DESERVE BETTER ! We must #ExpandMedicaidNow and #SaveGen !

We Deserve A life of going to a doctor not sitting working In pain ! But the hardhearted insist on this foolishness ! But we shall hopefully stop them by putting #ExpandMedicaidNow on The Ballot in Fl !

You look at The pictures above This is a Young Lady who should be enjoying life. Instead she suffers and is sick ! Why because She and her Family fall into The Medicaid Expansion Coverage Gap ! Gen and Mom Amy are too poor to qualify under The ACA…..But Medicaid Expansion was supposed to cover the poor of the poorest ! Yet FLORIDA REFUSED TO #ExpandMedicaidNow Leaving Genesis Her mom Amy and 1 Million in Florida Uninsured ! Genesis has a loving supportive Family and group of Friends !  I asked her about it who helps her :

Genesis  has a loving supportive family and Loyal friends by her side. But it is very frustrating for her and I know them too ! Some examples from Genesis :

” I Hate going to the Hospital ! ” “Growing Up being in the Hospital so much was routine, and like my second home. I really don’t go unless I can’t handle the pain.
“Everyday I live in constant Fear, of not being able to have a future. Not being able to get married or start A Family !”
In Short according to Genesis  :”The Whole Thing is Frustrating ! ”

And As someone else who lives this nightmare I agree 100% with her !
Genesis Rodriguez and Her Mom Amy , and Their Friends  Needs Your Help Fl and America ! Her Family and Friends Can Not Afford to Pay For Her Medicines ! This will shorten the life of a 21 yr old young woman or kill her ! Who has $10,000 Per Month on Just Medicines not counting Doctot Visits and other expenses ! The Emergency Room only keeos Genesis alive for awhile ! Without acces to affordable medicines and Doctors its a moot point !
We need to give this 21 yr old A Future Filled With Hope Not Fear !  I remember being young like that ! It was all ahead of me ! Genesis deserves this too !

So in 2016 Please help us #ExpandMedicaidNow and #SaveGen !  Its not just Fl doing this 19 other states too ! How many Genesis Rodriguez’s are out there sick and suffering ! For No Reason At All ! My name is Fred Christian. I am A 45 yr old who never had Healthcare in my Adult lifetime.  I suffer from Asthma since age 16.  And Also have a Cognitive Disorder and Vision Issues. This left me disabled and unable to work waiting on SSI.  I desperately need Medical Help.  I reside in Fl.  A State that refused to #ExpandMedicaidNow.  As a result i became A Social Media Activist with my Facebook  page and group Expand Medicaid Now.

While doing this i met A mom named Amy Rodriguez. She has A Very Sick daughter Genesis Rodriguez. Genesis At age 17 had part of her lung removed due to complications from Asthma and Respiratory issues.  Genesis struggles to Survive. As both She and Amy are Uninsured too ! It costs $10,000.00 A Month to keep Genesis Alive with proper medicines.

As an Asthmatic who is Uninsured too. I can relate, to this with her struggle to breathe and Live.  Can You Please Help All of Us? Please Use our names and stories, and Talk about us ? My Friends 2015 is almost over What A Year It has been !  We have had alot of Ups and downs. The World keeps changing daily ! If not by the minute.

Last year I wrote a Facebook Post about My Wish for Christmas. Then on Christmas I encountered a situation that was very sad. I was waiting for a bus to go see some Family for Christmas and I encountered a Disabled Homeless lady. She had no where to go on Christmas day ! Her money had run out on her. I Felt horrible I wish I could have given her a couole of Dollars to go to McDonalds.  But I had little money on me as I am Disabled myself. So I did what I could
do and Prayed for her.

My Wish For this year to be A kinder Nation and World.  So if We see a person like I did that was Homeless help them please if you can.

Also I wish for A safe Nation where you do not have to Fear getting shot or Terrorized. 

I wish for Our Working people to be treated with dignity. The #FightFor15 and #BlackLivesMatter movements fight daily for this. I wish for Families who have to struggle to live to have peace.

I wish For the Sick like myself Amy and Gen Rodriquez all Uninsured to Have access to Affordable Quality Healthcare ! My Wish is #ExpandMedicaidNow happens via Ballot initiative in Fl ! So my Friend Gen Rodriquez who is 21 can live a long life !

I wish for our nation that both parties see the light and solve our problems and not create more ! And Work Together Not At Each other !
I also wish that we are able to Trust All who serve us to keep Us safe from harm and PROTECT AND SERVE US ! Not a hidden or Moneyed agenda !

I hope and Wish people would Get it ! And ACT OUT OF LOVE TOWARDS OTHERS NOT HATE !  Like the poor Homeless lady all she needed was people to care ! I wish this especially for THE SICK POOR LONELY DISABLED POOR AND HOMELESS !

I Wish to and Want to Thank All dedicated Fire , EMS, Law Enforcement Our Military, Teachers ,Nurses, Health Aides and Civil Service Wokers for their service to Us !  Your sacrifice is appreciated.  Please thank them if you see them ! They work on Christmas to help us ! Be Sale All

And A wish to All Service Workers ie Cooks, Waitstaff , FastFood, Retail, Stock Clerks ,Grocery Clerks, Bakers, Meat, Cutters, Produce,  Casheirs and Front Service Thank you for always working hard and helping and Be Well ! Your efforts are appreciated ! Please if out there be nice to them too !

My Friends I have been thinking about how to respond to this situation. That is why it took me so long to respond.  I am responding to the attacks by Donald Trump on the Disabled Reportter.

As A Disabled person you to be blunt get needless grief. Why because people do not always understand.  Just because We Gesture diferently, Walk diferently, Speak or Hear differntly ……Does Not Make us Any Less human.

For instance myself I was Blessed to be raised by two parents with Disabilities.  My Dad has Cerebral Palsy over came it and leads a productive life. My Mom has Epilepsy and worked very hard though Both set an example to me of hard work no excuses for being different ! You just do your best. Something I strive to do daily.

Myeelf I faced several challenges not driving, motor coordination, health issues – Asthma too. I went years not knowing my eyes did not move. No one told me and sadly people thought I was staring at them. When I was not. This was a Tracking disorder that is rare ! So rare it almost caused me to miss my bus home twice ! As it is the cause of my not being able to drive or cross busy streets !

But I overcame some of it to help myself and others when I became A Social Media Activist. As above meme says. I wanted others to not suffer like I do as an Uninsured person. I face tough challenges many do not see understand or accept !

So my feelings on Donald Trump are simple ! He is A Buffoon A Clown and A Jerk ! Do we want someone like this representing ALL OF AMERICA ! ….You see When You Are The President Of The United States Of America You Are The Voice And Face Of ALL THE PEOPLE ! ALL THE TIME !  This is not like a company declare Bankruptcy cut losses run away ! You Represent Us All ! Not Just The Rich, Pretty, Connected And Powerful ! So this is something to think about !

Trump is fearless in his show ! But there is too much hate ! What did the sick, poor, Uninsured, low wage workers  hispanics and the disabled do to you Mr Trump ?  Why do you hate us so much that every statement you make you denounce us ?

I feel for that NY Times Reporter ! I may not have been as nice to Mr Trump as he is ! Years ago people like Trump ignored the Disabled ! Now they ridicule us !

But Know This Donald Trump And all who have doubted me ! We Are Human beings Created in God’s Image Just like you !

Just yesterday I read in the Miami Hearld about a Disabled boy with Autism who became his school president of the Student Body ! Why did he do it .? What did he promise if elected ? To Help people ! ….we should celebrate this NOT THE HATE OF DONALD TRUMP ! I am so happy for that child and his family ! I do not know them but am happy for them !  But am disgusted by the Trump’s of the World !

We have a choice Love others or hate them in 2016 ! I choose love I hope you do too America !

My Friends I have something to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving ! We may next year be able to Put Medicaid Expansion on the Ballot in Florida.  This is absolutely Huge ! As The Below  meme says. We Will need 500,000 Signers to Accomplish this. But I believe it is doable. And We must Do This !

They work anonymously so we can have a good meal, Hotel Room, or Care in Medical Facilaties ! They suffer often working long hours in pain for little pay ! Yet they take courageously TO THE STREETS FOR THEIR CAUSE ! ….And They Are Winning ! NY raised the Wage to $15.00 ! So Give them the respect and #Dignity They Deserve ! #FightFor15 America !
