My Friends today I posted my Third Video to YouTube on #ExpandMedicaidNow #MedicaidExpansion ! I am doing this to raise awareness to this issue as it often gets ignored ! But it is too important to ignore ! People are sick and dying daily without Healthcare in America still ! This should be a National OutRage ! So I am going to Expand on my Video Titled WHAT IF ?

What If You couldn’t pay for your Medicine ? What if you couldn’t see a Doctor ? What is You went to the Hospital and Got Bills you couldn’t pay ? Well in Fl (MyState) and 19 others that refused to #ExpandMedicaidNow this is reality !

Who are these people you may ask ? Why is this happening to them ? What did they do to deserve this ? My answer nothing except be poor work hard for little pay and struggle to survive ! Many in The #MedicaidGap are working poor disabled and unable to work or homeless ! Many work 2 to 3 jobs to pay rent buy food and survive ! They are your friends neighbors co workers and Yes Fellow Church members ! Who work hard and sometimes work sick und uninsured ! Just to survive !

They are people like myself who never had healthcare in their adult lifetime ! Amy and Gen Rodriquez who I wrote about In my blog : A MOTHERS FIGHT TO #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Amy works has no healthcare and has to pay for Gen’s medical expenses too !  I can relate being a caregiver for my dad in between jobs and now disabled my dad  other family or friends most times paid for my Medicine and Doctor Visits !

They Are : WE THE UNINSURED OF FL AND AMERICA ! We work pay taxes and just need help ! Why we are sick or injured and need medical attention !

So I ask What If ?……..You Were Us ? If you had to haggle with a Hospital after visiting its ER ? Because you can’t have a Doctor to go to ? What would you do if you lost your job or were Homeless and Got Sick and couldn’t pay for YOUR HEALTHCARE ? Or Were injured and couldn’t work ? Or got a Catastropic Illness ? Or got sick Like Charlene Dill did, and could not afford to see a Doctor or even buy medicine ? As a result Charlene Dill died way too young at 32 leaving 3 kids orphans ! Because of choices of Food and Shelter for her family or save herself ! It’s a bad choice to make ! No one should have to make it in 2015 !

Many fail too see the reality we face As We The Uninsured ! There are 1 million of Us in Fl thanks to Gov Scott and his poor Leadership and Lack of Compassion for anyone but the Weathy like him ! Medicaid Expansion will save lives ! The purpose of Medicaid is to be A Safety Net ! Not a Handout but a way of providing dignity to the poor ! So I ask will you help #ExpandMedicaidNow or continue letting WE THE UNINSURED potentially die and play WHAT IF ?

Because IT could be You ! I hope you will see things like President Kennedy who I pictured here did ! He said :Why Not ” and we Put A Man on The Moon ! He said WHAT iF too ! Because he championed the Uninsured ! So I ask WHAT IF ? …..It Was You who was Uninsured ? What Would You Do ? Would You like it ? Would Would You Get It ? I hope you do ! We The Uninsured Need You !

My Friends I posted this meme I made a while back as a reminder of who it is in Fl standing in the way of All The Good People in Fl having Healthcare ! The man in the picture is Fl Gov Rick Scott (R) ! A man who not only denies #ClimateChange is real ! By saying :”I Am Not A Scientist ! ” but health care and dignity to the Poor in his state. A state I reside in ! And used to be proud to say to all I live in ! A state denying myself and 1 Million in Fl a chance at life by #ExpandMedicaidNow !

Florida is the Sunshine State A Tourist mecca ! A retirement destination ! But with Governor Scott there has been no Sunshine only darkness for the working Poor in Fl ! A man who himself came from humble means but has such a cold view of others ! He has aleays had a shady edge to him accused of Swindling The Federal Government out of Medicaid Medicare dollars while CEO of HCA Columbia Hospital Chain ! Gov Scott Pleaded the 5th Ammenment ! ……..and walked away a Billionaire ! Took that money ran for Governor of Fl and is systematically destroying it !

We had disasters in Fl hurricanes for example ! But how Gov Scott manages our state may be the worse one yet ! He does not lead like a Politician but a sterile corporate raider ! He manages our state instead of Leading it ! Not just with #ClimateChange but with #StandYourGround too ! No leadership after the deaths of Trayvan Martin and Jordan Davis ! Just hollow lip service !

Which is how he treats myself Amy and Gen Rodriquez and WE THE UNINSURED OF FL is a real disgrace !  He was against #MedicaidExpansion then for now against it ! Lip service that those of us who are sick of being sick don’t need ! We want action not words ! But No Gov Scott you let Charlene Dill die leaving 3 kids Orphans ! A very cruel heartless thing to do ! You went to Disney World to hobnob with your GOP friends when Leadership was needed on #ExpandMedicaidNow ! You let Speaker Crissifulli (R) kill it ! Thus potentially killing more uninsured ! Why ? Why use us as pawns ? We are human beings ! If you do not like President Obama tell him do not take it out on the people You are sworn to Protect ! Or do you ignore your OATH OF OFFICE too Governor like you ignore WE THE UNINSURED OF FL ! If Florida was a business it would be sued for neglect ! Because it neglects its most vulnerable citizens ! That is why Gov Scott is a disaster ! He has no empathy for anyone except the almighty dollar ! And as a result of his slash and burn mentality WE THE UNINSURED IN FL continue getting burned ! By a heartless profiteer ! And I am being charitable in my description Gov ! Many think worse than this of You and Your Leadership of Florida ! Or Shall I say Misleadership !

No More Treyvan Martin’s , No More Jordan Davis’s , and No More Charlene Dill’s Please Florida ! Get out of the dark and get some Sun in the Light ! Its called Leadership something the man pictured obvoiusly doesn’t have or care to have ! Or as I said in a Blog Is Anyine Running Fl with a conscience ? Sad to say – NOT ! But it must get better for We The Uninsured in Fl ! This is not working so in 2016 lets change things #SaveLives #CloseTheGap and #ExpandMedicaidNow !

My Friends I have written and posted before about How Martin Luthur King Jr. Is one of my Heroes and The Inspiration of my Activism ! But in the meme above he is 100% Right !

We are too Soft and Silent in America sometimes ! We get “Too Comfortable” living our lives not noticing what is happening around us ! We should leave our bubble we live in before it bursts on us ! And We get a Rude Awakening ! That is where the silence comes into play !

How many really got upset enough to Demand Real Change when #MikeBrown #EricGarner #FreddieGray …,.and Now #SandraBland happened ?  That could. Actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT ? Not Enough or #SandraBland Wouldn’t have happened !

I am Not talking about the real Civil Rights Heroes of 2015 #BlackLivesMatter but those who are elected officials who sit on their hands and Do nothing ! And Those of you who say :” What A shame or cry Justice ! ” ……. Yet You Do Not Even Vote much less call e mail or write elected officials to show your disgust !

This Problem applies Not Just to #CivilRights but #ExpandMedicaidNow too ! How many actually care over 1 Million People in Fl have No Healthcare ! And in 17 other states too ! How many cared when 32 Year Old Single Mom of 3 Charlene Dill died on a person’s porch of a Heart Attack because she was uninsured ! Leaving 3 kids orphans ! Or about Amy Rodriquez and Gen Rodriguez who are Uninsured in Fl like me !

Dr King was speaking to those who can do something ! By doing nothing your Enemies win against the forces of Good for Society ! Dr King if Alive would have fought for myself Amy and Gen Rodriguez and the 1 million uninsured in Fl ! To him it was about dignity of the Less Fortunate ! He Championed Universal Healthcare !

Dr King’s Dream was about Unity, Dignity and Love ! He wanted all to uplift those who are down !  Your Silence is endorsing those who wish to keep others down !  Like For those who #FightFor15 a decent wage is a must too ! But still Silence on that too !

We are our brother and sisters keeper ! You can deny it with your silence and inaction – which is silence too ! Or you can listen to the wise words of Dr King Above and Do Something ! We have Lots of Issues We Face…,.. #BlackLivesMatter #StopVoterSuppression #gunsense #PoorLivesMatter #ClimateChange #GlobalWarming #FightFor15 and of course #ExpandMedicaidNow !  Now Is Not The time for apathy ! And if it happens We need you All to be involved ! Many will try to smear and misinform ! But We must can will and shall be ready ! With Truth and Facts !

You see If I personally didn’t get involved I would be in a worse mess ! My friends I fight daily to #ExpandMedicaidNow ! But the stuff that comes out of the mouths of the GOP on this just is something else ! Sometimes I Scream at my TV PHONE OR TABLET ! The Language isn’t pretty but sad to say when it comes to Clueless and Heartless GOP POLITICIANS AND LOBBYISTS ITS DESERVED !! We have a contrast of ideas and styles big time on The Liberal DEMOCRATS side Presidents Obama Kennedy Candidates Clinton Sanders and on the REPUBLICAN side Governor Rick Scott of Fl and GOP FRONT RUNNER DONALD TRUMP

Today on MSNBC SHOW MORNING JOE – I heard the P.T.Barnum of The GOP Frontrunner Donald Trump claim he is symathathetic with the Uninsured ! His suggestion was to end the ACA and use Hospitals to treat the Uninsured !

Sound Familiar All ? Well it should A certain Governor named Rick Scott says the same thing !

Memo To Mr Trump and Gov Scott : It doesn’t Work ! The Hospitals are over run by the Uninsured like myself !  Many of the Public ones are on the brink of bankruptcy !

Bankruptcy An Issue I know You Are An Expert in Donald Trump ! Yes see The Town I was born in Atlantic City New Jersey ! The town now on the verge of Bankruptcy ! Because of Great Businessmen like Donald Trump !

OUR HEALTH AND VERY LIVES are not like A CASINO Mr Trump ! Yes a company can go bankrupt and close – which actually causes job losses and Yes A Loss in Healthcare Insurance ! Causing those who had insurance to go to A Public Hosoital System ! Which If Bankrupt can not treat you because it is closed and you will get sick suffer and die possibly ! Great Plan Mr Trump and Gov Scott ! Ask the family of Charlene Dill how that plan would have kept  her alive ? Under Your system We can not see specialists or even have a Primary Care Physician !

I posted the picture of the Real Champions of Healthcare President John Fitzgearld Kennedy and  President Barak Hussein Obama to illustrate a difference ! Both of these men had actual Healthcare plans President Kennedy What was to become Medicare Medicaid and President Obama The ACA Affordable Care Act ! Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders support the ACA and want to imporve it or go to Single Payer ! Mr Trump Gov Scott and the GOP want No Healthcare as We Know it !

Yes the current system is not perfect but with the ACA it will get better ! I hope we can add a provision where all Medical Providers accept all Insurance Plans ! And I really Hope #ExpandMedicaidNow Happens ! But if we keep listening to Gov Scott or Mr Trump – disaster will follow ! Those who have a plan are Wise !  Those who say they have a Plan and don’t – Are Foolish ! So the choice is yours with Healthcare listen to the Wise and Live or The Fools and Die ! I would Fire The Fools All !

My Friends you have read about My Friends Amy Rodriquez and her Daughter Genesis Gen Rodriquez as We all are in the Medicaid Expansion Gap ! Genesis is on the Left and Her couragous Mom Amy is on the right !
It should never have to come to this ! ….Yes I said this before and if it keeps going like this I may have to again ! We who are stuck In The Medicaid Expansion Gap are literally in some cases fighting for our lives ! In Gen Rodriguez case it is true !
Gen Rodriquez has a respiratory disorder called *** Middle Lobe Syndrome ! She lost 40 Percent of her lung when she was 17 ! This is very serious , she has had repeated bouts of pneumonia asthma and coughing fits ! ***Seource Miami Hearld Article Aoril 17,2015 by Daniel Chang
Now personally as an Uninsured Asthmatic I can relate ! Gen uses cough syrup to supress the cough ! Why she is 20 eligible for Medicaid and like myself Fl will. Not #ExpandMedicaidNow !
This is insane in 2015 to have to beg for healthcare ! If We All were insured We Wouldn’t Have to Worry If Each breath We Take is our last one on earth !
Amy Rodriguez is a Warrior like me for #ExpandMedicaidNow ! She pulls no punches ! She literally is in the battle of her life to keep her 20 year old daughter alive and well ! She has met with any elected oficial and Activist Group who will listen and Has been to Tallahasse several times but to no avail ! Because Gen can not get Healthcare Amy is trying to do Fundraisers for her ! This is a beautiful act of Love but in 2015 shouldn’t have to happen !
Gen Rodriguez is 20 years old ! She deserves the dignity of having healthcare and growing old and dreaming dreams and seeing them happen ! Not having to worry or have her Mom who also is Uninsured worry too !

My Friends as you know the cause of #ExpandMedicaidNow is my passion ! My dad says its “My Crusade”  ! Not quite but close !  But I have a question for the now 18 States still doing nothing ? How long must We The Uninsured Wait ? How many of us must get sick and die before you get it ?

In Alaska Their Governor Gets it ! He decided to #ExpandMedicaidNow even without his Legislature ! Utah who has rejected Expansion now is talking and also is close to Expanding Medicaid !

So now We are down to 18 States ! Mine Fl still playing games ! We had a Plan but the State House and Governor PLAYED POLITICS AND  PUNTED ! Leaving 1 Million People in The Sunshine State still uninsured and In the darkness not the light ! Including myself depending on A County Clinic Program that may not be funded or could one day run out of money ! Others like. Amy Rodriquez a hard working Mom fighting like craxy not just for herself but her 20 year old daughter Genesis Rodriquez who has Respiratory Problems !

I can relate to both Amy and Genesis Rodriguez I too have Asthma snd am uninsured ! How much debt do we the Uninsured have to incur ? Not all In this Medicaid Expansion Gap have cash to buy medicine ! If it wasn’t for my dad helping me – I would have probably died years ago !
It costs approximately $600.00 a year for my asthma medicine ! That also does not count seeing a Doctor ! Yes I have to pay labs X Rays and Co Pays of $40.00 ! This is not Cheap at All if you have no income or little money !

This is why with the ACA costs wil be lower IF MORE ARE INSURED ! My State Representative Barbara Watson (D)  Fl House District 107 and State Senator Oscar Braynon (D) Fl recently visiited my Community at a Luncheon. Both stresed We need more Community Involvement in Fl to #ExpandMedicaidNow !  I spoke and told them my story ! But at the end of the day both of them are right ! We need not just community involvement Statewide Involvement but Nation Wide Involvement !  So I ask all of you who read this how long must WE THE UNINSURED WAIT ? How Many must die needlessly like Charlene Dill did ? How many who are sick may get sicker and potentially die ? How many needing Mental Health treatment must suffer ? We must get this done !

IF We Can Go To War And Find Money To Pay For It …Then There Is No Excuse Not To Make Sure All Americans Have The Dignity of Healthcare !  – That is my thought on this as an Uninsured Person ! Money should be No Object when it comes to your health or the Health and Walfare of your fellow citizens !

I hope you all think about this and Get It ! This is Urgent and a problem many can not wait forever to see fixed !  So Please take action and help us We The Uninsured to #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Thank you God Bless

My Friends I posted my picture to show How my cause of #ExpandMedicaidNow is a Human one ! We are not merely numbers of 1 Million Uninsured but actual living breathing people !  We The Uninsured in Fl are being ignored when our lives are at stake !

Yes I do have a Jackson Health Systems Card for Clinics and Hospitals in Miami Dade County only ! If I go to New Jersey to visit famiky or any place else in Fl – I am 100% Uninsured ! This system is NOT INSURANCE ! It is meant for ER visits not Total Healthcare ! The funds come from LIP (LOW IMCOME POOL ) FEDERAL DOLLARS ! This will sunset next year !

But Governor Scott in his idelogical ignorance still insisting this is Healthcare ! Sorry Governor it isn’t ! Can you use it out of state or in All 67 Counties ? No you can’t ! Healthcare through the ACA and Medicaid Expansion you can use anywhere in America ! Unlike myself and 1 million others placed in Limbo yearly by a clueless Governor !  The funds for LIP will be over next year ! Then What our hospitals close ? Many die needlessly like Charlene Dill did ? Amy and Gen Rodriquez myself and 1 Million others sit and suffer in silence ? To die needlessly !
ALL KNOWING THIS KNOW THIS PLEASE : I WILL CONTINUE TO ACT AS A VOICE AND FACE ON THIS – As A Voice For The Voiceless – We The Uninsured In Fl Until All in Not Just Florida But The entire Nation  Have Healthcare !

If We Can Find The Money to Start A War ! …..We Can Find The Money to Insure All Americans be it with #ExpandMedicaidNow #MedicaidExpansion #ACA #SinglePayer !  No excuses !

My Friends as many of you know I am a Social Media Activist ! I am on Facebook have Four Pages I created or co created called People Suffering Due to Republicans Refusal to Expand Medicaid , Expand Medicaid Now People Need Help , ISSUES WE FACE , and Please sign my Petition to Help Expand Medicaid in Fl ! Why do I do this and what is it I do I have been asked ? Well as I have blogged before I am uninsured in Fl. I need Medicaid my Governor wouldn’t Expand It !  The closest i ever came to Activism was 4 letters to the editor of The Ocala Star Banner ; After I watched MSNBC civer the 50 th Anniversary of the MLK “I HAVE A DREAM SPEECH ,”  I answered their question what would I do to advance the dream ? I said Be A Voice For The Voiceless like MLK was ! He is as is JFK BOBBY BILL CLINTON AND PRESIDENT OBAMA HEROES and Inspiration to me ! I was into civil rights in college and wanted to help others ! So on Sept 16 2013 It happened I I was in Church Calvary Chapel Hollywood Fl the Pastor challenged us as Christians to be involved in Government ! I came home and found a Move on Petition and started one to Expand Medicaid !

Now this was not easy for me in the beginning I didn’t really trust Social Media ! I heard the good and bad and was a skeptic ! I joined Facebook and twitter but only posted about sports and to @edshow ! Little did I realize those tweets on Local Government closing libraries and Fire Houses plus the 4 letters to the editor were preparing me for a great journey ! I had eye problems I can’t take pictures ! But I eas determined to be A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS in Society ! There is a Million Uninsured In Fl – I was to be their voice and Face ! My goal talk to all who will listen !

The petition was grueling I thought No Problem I can get a million signers ! But for 2 months I got 14 ! Then I did an interview with The Miami Hearld ! It was a break ! But stll No signers ! So I joined Facebook groups got more signers was still tweeting and posting edshow ! I made mistakes locked myself out of my twitter acct ! Got back on and things began to work ! I had success messaging and promoting my cause ! But got only 2000 plus signers ! And it failed !  Along the way I formed the Facebook groups and pages I mentioned above ! I met alot of great peoole too ! Plus grew and helped on Gun Control ! And fought racists ! I have been harassed on Twitter by Trolls and had my life Threatened ! But We #TrollBusters have a policy of List Block Report ! I even have had my profile pic doctored with nasty memes ! But still  go on ….Why ? To help the 1 Million Uninsured in Fl and America ! My dad called it My Crusade ! …. I do not know about that but how many people can say they helped a Million people ? That is my goal that’s why I do this ! Not Fame as a friend predicts I will have ! I started writing posts and soon became a blogger to improve my message ! I am even in a film by fellow activist Called Entitled to Life Fl – Comming soon !
I have alot of respect for the Activists who take to the streets and do it peacefully ! How do they know where to go and what to say ? Social Media ! They tweet and post  about #Racism #Poverty #BlackLivesMatter #FightFor15 #ClimateChange #GlobalWarming #Homelessness #Veterans #Poverty #SinglePayer and my cause #ExpandMedicaidNow !  They use this to spread awareness ! It is a great Forum and could win elections soon ! I respect All who do this by doing so All Are : VOICES FOR THE VOICELESS ! As I try to be !  We are Unsung Heroes trying to right wrongs day and night ! My Friends My last blog focused on the soon to be cancellation of The Ed Show – With Ed Schultz ! But we have a choice with this do nothing and keep the status quo or move Forward ! Ed ket ordinary Americans like myself let our voices be heard with Facebook and Twitter on air !
It was a great Forum for #ExpandMedicaidNow ! That is why I posted our logo here today !  I even helped my friends out and got a tweet with #StopVoterSuppression on air too !

My point being is that the landscape with media is changing constantky ! It used to be if on TV or Newspaper Radio covered an issue or event progress and change Followed soon after !
But Now MSM (MAIN STREAM MEDIA ) Miss many stories of actual people needing help ! For example When #MedicaidExpansion was debated in the Fl House few knew about it ! It was denied leaving myself Amy Rodriquez Gen Rodriquez and 1 million in Florida still in peril ! We needed a huge push on this ! America needs to understand our plight but National Media ignored it focusing on Trade issues !

Local Media can only do so much given the fact that their purpose is to tell you about the Fire Flood Shooting Breaking Weather ! And many in Local News Media are kind to me and it is appreciated !

So Our Challege is to #BeTheMedia and #GetInvolved ! You can not get enough information because so much is happening so fast ! Social Media is Here it has truly arrived as an agent of change ! We saw it at #NetRoots with #BlackLivesMatter as they forced a discussion on raciscm !

This was a start but we need You America and All Globally Involved to start to impact Positive Social Change ! Use Social Media take pictures share it with local news ! Be involved don’t wait for others do it yourself ! Use Facebook Twitter Instagram Vine Google+ Tumblr and WordPres and Blog tweet and Post ! Film and Post to YOU TUBE !

Plus you could volunteer on a Political Campaign help your kids schools to be better by being involved in PTA or attend School Board Meetings ! Attend City and County Commision meetings ! Write letters to the editor of your neespaoer ! Volunteer at an animal shelter or rescue organization ! I volunteer at 3 Churches ! By doing so you meet others and help others too ! Or at a food Pantry too !

The edshow was great but there is a lot of work to be done in America !  !t shows by many not being able to Vote ! Not All having access to quality affordable Healthcare  ! Not all getting paid enough to live on ! Not all having and getting Justice and Dignity ! We have alot to do in our nation and world ! But especially at home !
So As Ed Schultz says : “Lets Get To Work !” 

The choice is yours be active or watch our world and Nation go potentially in a bad direction ! We can not always wait for oters to help us ! I didn’t and Founed #ExpandMedicaidNow and 4 Facebook pages called people suffering due to republicans refusal to Expand Medicaid  Expand Medicaid Now People Need Help Issues We Face please sign my petition to help Expand Medicaid in Fl ! Plus two groups Issues We Face and Expand Medicaid Now ! Plus I tweet @FredChristian10  and blog ! I got ivolved because I always wanted to help others !
