Dear Secratary Clinton :

My name is Fred Christian. I am A 45 yr old who never had Healthcare in my Adult lifetime.  I suffer from Asthma since age 16.  And Also have a Cognitive Disorder and Vision Issues. This left me disabled and unable to work waiting on SSI.  I desperately need Medical Help.  I reside in Fl.  A State that refused to #ExpandMedicaidNow.  As a result i became A Social Media Activist with my Facebook  page and group Expand Medicaid Now.

While doing this i met A mom named Amy Rodriguez. She has A Very Sick daughter Genesis Rodriguez. Genesis At age 17 had part of her lung removed due to complications from Asthma and Respiratory issues.  Genesis struggles to Survive. As both She and Amy are Uninsured too ! It costs $10,000.00 A Month to keep Genesis Alive with proper medicines.

As an Asthmatic who is Uninsured too. I can relate, to this with her struggle to breathe and Live.  Can You Please Help All of Us? Please Use our names and stories, and Talk about us ? My Friends 2015 is almost over What A Year It has been !  We have had alot of Ups and downs. The World keeps changing daily ! If not by the minute.

Last year I wrote a Facebook Post about My Wish for Christmas. Then on Christmas I encountered a situation that was very sad. I was waiting for a bus to go see some Family for Christmas and I encountered a Disabled Homeless lady. She had no where to go on Christmas day ! Her money had run out on her. I Felt horrible I wish I could have given her a couole of Dollars to go to McDonalds.  But I had little money on me as I am Disabled myself. So I did what I could
do and Prayed for her.

My Wish For this year to be A kinder Nation and World.  So if We see a person like I did that was Homeless help them please if you can.

Also I wish for A safe Nation where you do not have to Fear getting shot or Terrorized. 

I wish for Our Working people to be treated with dignity. The #FightFor15 and #BlackLivesMatter movements fight daily for this. I wish for Families who have to struggle to live to have peace.

I wish For the Sick like myself Amy and Gen Rodriquez all Uninsured to Have access to Affordable Quality Healthcare ! My Wish is #ExpandMedicaidNow happens via Ballot initiative in Fl ! So my Friend Gen Rodriquez who is 21 can live a long life !

I wish for our nation that both parties see the light and solve our problems and not create more ! And Work Together Not At Each other !
I also wish that we are able to Trust All who serve us to keep Us safe from harm and PROTECT AND SERVE US ! Not a hidden or Moneyed agenda !

I hope and Wish people would Get it ! And ACT OUT OF LOVE TOWARDS OTHERS NOT HATE !  Like the poor Homeless lady all she needed was people to care ! I wish this especially for THE SICK POOR LONELY DISABLED POOR AND HOMELESS !

I Wish to and Want to Thank All dedicated Fire , EMS, Law Enforcement Our Military, Teachers ,Nurses, Health Aides and Civil Service Wokers for their service to Us !  Your sacrifice is appreciated.  Please thank them if you see them ! They work on Christmas to help us ! Be Sale All

My Friends I have been thinking about how to respond to this situation. That is why it took me so long to respond.  I am responding to the attacks by Donald Trump on the Disabled Reportter.

As A Disabled person you to be blunt get needless grief. Why because people do not always understand.  Just because We Gesture diferently, Walk diferently, Speak or Hear differntly ……Does Not Make us Any Less human.

For instance myself I was Blessed to be raised by two parents with Disabilities.  My Dad has Cerebral Palsy over came it and leads a productive life. My Mom has Epilepsy and worked very hard though Both set an example to me of hard work no excuses for being different ! You just do your best. Something I strive to do daily.

Myeelf I faced several challenges not driving, motor coordination, health issues – Asthma too. I went years not knowing my eyes did not move. No one told me and sadly people thought I was staring at them. When I was not. This was a Tracking disorder that is rare ! So rare it almost caused me to miss my bus home twice ! As it is the cause of my not being able to drive or cross busy streets !

But I overcame some of it to help myself and others when I became A Social Media Activist. As above meme says. I wanted others to not suffer like I do as an Uninsured person. I face tough challenges many do not see understand or accept !

So my feelings on Donald Trump are simple ! He is A Buffoon A Clown and A Jerk ! Do we want someone like this representing ALL OF AMERICA ! ….You see When You Are The President Of The United States Of America You Are The Voice And Face Of ALL THE PEOPLE ! ALL THE TIME !  This is not like a company declare Bankruptcy cut losses run away ! You Represent Us All ! Not Just The Rich, Pretty, Connected And Powerful ! So this is something to think about !

Trump is fearless in his show ! But there is too much hate ! What did the sick, poor, Uninsured, low wage workers  hispanics and the disabled do to you Mr Trump ?  Why do you hate us so much that every statement you make you denounce us ?

I feel for that NY Times Reporter ! I may not have been as nice to Mr Trump as he is ! Years ago people like Trump ignored the Disabled ! Now they ridicule us !

But Know This Donald Trump And all who have doubted me ! We Are Human beings Created in God’s Image Just like you !

Just yesterday I read in the Miami Hearld about a Disabled boy with Autism who became his school president of the Student Body ! Why did he do it .? What did he promise if elected ? To Help people ! ….we should celebrate this NOT THE HATE OF DONALD TRUMP ! I am so happy for that child and his family ! I do not know them but am happy for them !  But am disgusted by the Trump’s of the World !

We have a choice Love others or hate them in 2016 ! I choose love I hope you do too America !

My Friends I have something to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving ! We may next year be able to Put Medicaid Expansion on the Ballot in Florida.  This is absolutely Huge ! As The Below  meme says. We Will need 500,000 Signers to Accomplish this. But I believe it is doable. And We must Do This !

Why We have Over 1 Million Uninsured in Florida. The second highest rate in Our Nation. Texas is sadly First with 1.2 Million Uninsured. This should be an outrage and A National Wake Up Call For America

My Friends I have A Question Are We or Are Not A Humane Nation ? I say this seriously.  We have a Syrian Refugee Crisis on our hands ! Yet GOP Governors and Politicans act like they will infect them with the PLAQUE ! The Rhetoric is Disgusting but doesn’t surprise me !

My Friends today I am very upset I had a rough week ! I am very disappointed and disgusted ! I told you last week of the death of 32 yr old Jenny Steinke of Idaho ! She died of Asthma ! Why She had No Insurance and was too Poor to buy it ! And Idaho Refused to #ExpandMedicaidNow !

4 months ago I wrote President Obama ! The letter is a blog post on this site ! Title A Letter to @POTUS Asking Him to Help #ExpandMedicaidNow in Fl ! The White House wrote me back ! Basically they thanked me for sharing my story and told me they were trying to #ExpandMedicaidNow.  That is good but Even President Obama needs help ! I understand this ! He can say it but IF NO ONE CARES IT GOES NO WHERE !

Which is where we are at Now !  I talked to my friend Amy Rodriguez and Her daughter Gen Rodriguez was very ill and Home bound ! If Gen got Medicaid she would be so much better off ! And Amy has to Pay for it incurring Debt ! They are doing A Fund Raise but all they raised is $235.00 ! In 2 months ! Just Disgusting people ! Bad enough she is sick but $235.00 ! Please ! Come on ! We can do better than this !
Plus On TOP OF IT they were slandered too !

It is disgusting to accuse a sick Womsn of FAKING IT ! No reason for it ! No one should have to go through what Gen and Amy are ! At 21 she deserves A Full Life !  I will NOT TOLERATE BULLYING OF THE SICK AND UNINSURED ! We Suffer Enough !

But SOME  of YOU ARE SO FIXATED WITH HELPING BERNIE OR HILLARY THAT YOU IGNORE US ! Yes Many on Social Media and In The Media are really helping the GOP by Ignoring The Problem ! 

And To Make matters worse We on Social Media are at War with Each other ! Over Bernie V. Hillary ! Enough of it Allready ! I sit here trying to help save the Life of a 21 year old Woman and get damm no where ! Plus now Texas has more Uninsured than Fl ! My Friends Today I am Angry REALLY REALLY ANGRY ! Why I Will Tell You Why ! Because being in the Medicaid Expansion Gap Claimed Another Victim ! And A Young One Again too !

The latest Victim of Our Heartless Politicians is*** Jenny Steinke A 36 year old Idaho Woman ! She died of Asthma last month. Jenny was married to Jaaon Steinke had a child and grandchild on the way ! Why did she have to die ? Because She and Jason worked but couldn’t afford insurance ! They qualified for Medicaid but Idaho also Will Not #ExpandMedicaidNow ! They almost had insurance so Jenny could see a Doctor but it was too late !  Jenny relied on Friends for Medicine and a Public Health Clinic ! But She needed to see a specialist and Couldn’t !

Sound Familiar All ? Does The name Charlene Dill Ring  A Bell ? Yes Charlene Dill 32 year old Mom of 3 who died of a Heart Attack selling Vacuums  on A Strangers Porch ! What Do Jenny and Charlene have in common ? Age in their 30’s both moms and hard workers who struggle to survive ! And Both Died TOO YOUNG AND TOO SOON !

Yes both of them like me sought treatment In an An Emergency Room ! But it is not the same as seeing A Primary Care Physician or IF NEEDED A Specialist ! It can not pay for life saving Medicines !

I live with Asthma too ! I am lucky to have a Dad help with my Medicine ! But let me tell you without him THIS COULD BE ME !

What Does An Asthma Attack Feel Like ? Well imagine Bronchitis only Worse ! Imagine making A Fist and getting tighter and tighter ! Only it is in your Lungs ! You Cough Puke and Almost Choke from Lack Of Air ! That Folks Is An Asthma Attack its scairy painful and If not treated by Proper Medicine and A Doctor or Emergency Personell Quickly …..ITS DEADLY !

Both of these women died too young ! It didn’t have to be either !  Many Tell me on Social Media What These GOP GOVERNORS AND STATE HOUSES ARE DOING IS MURDER ! I Agree ! Something must be done and soon ! Families losing Loved Ones Is Sad !

I Fight This Fight Daily with my Friend Amy Rodriquez who fights to keep Daughter Gen Alive ! Gen too battles to Breathe as she had part of her lung removed ! She is 21 and DESERVES A LONG HEALTHY LIFE ! Give her A Chance At It  And  #ExpandMedicaidNow Please ? Amy has to Raise money for her ! So All Who Read This In America and Globally I Ask You Help Us Stop The Deaths ! Call Your Elected Officials And Tell Them if in a State that has Not Expanded Medicaid To #ExpandMedicaidNow ! IT COULD SAVE A FAMILY MEMBERS LIFE, A FRIEND, NEIGHBOR, CO-WORKER , OR EVEN YOUR OWN ! Because one Death like this too many ! And We had ONE TOO MANY ALLREADY AMERICA ! Think So ?

My Friends As You know I am The Voice and The Face of #ExpandMedicaidNow I recently had the honor of Having My Portrait Painted (Shown Above ) by Renowned Artist Theresa BrownGold Founer of Art As A Social Inquiry ! One of the things she wanted to do was express through her work what irs like to be Uninsured !

I try to do this with my WORDS ! That is my goal to be A Voice For The Voiceless ! So today I am going to try to articulate from my perspective As An Uninsured Adult !

Personally IT ABSOLUTELY SUCKS BEING UNINSURED ! The Constant Fear of What Next haunts you when sick ! I had a week that was just ridiculous when it comes to Accessimg Healthcare !

Let me begin by shattering A Myth of Healthcare ! That Hospitals Can Heal You If Sick ! Not True contrary to meme below 

This is A myth Hospitals are there to Save The injured and dying ! That is their purpose ! Not to act as a dentist or primary care physician ! But if Uninsured you can not see A Primary Care Physician ! Why It Costs Money ! Some Depend on County or City Public Health Clinics ! A Good idea at One Time but Not Now !

Why because they lack sufficient funding and staffing ! I went 2 weeks ago just to get a check up and my new Prescriptions for my Asthma Medicine ! The PA wrote me a Prescription for One Medicine I do not take and can not afford ! This same Clinic almost denied me access to it over proof of residency 6 months earlier !
So what did I Do ? My Dad had to take me to A Walgreens Clinic and I fortunately got the proper Medicine ! But it cost us $200.00 for this ! Many do not have it ! What do they do take the wrong Medicine get sick and die ? Or take no mediciine get sick and die ! 

The Above meme by my friend Jerrie Mashburn says it well ! She was among many of my friends on Social Media who are Outaged at the neglect going on ! I am outraged too !

I am Outraged too That in 2015 ! I can not have access to Affordable Primary Care ! That I can not go to A regular Doctor ! A quality Hospital if neeeded, because of where I live ! That my Friend Amy Rodriquez has to beg and do A Fundraiser for her Now 21 year old daughter Genesis Rodriquez ! That I have to depend on the kindness of family and friends to survive ! Just Because I Am POOR AND SICK !

I hate the stress of not knowing WHAT NEXT ?  I had a debste on Facebook yesterday with an Opponet of Medicaid Expansion ! He gave the same stupid argument about costs ! Yet I challenged him to be Compassionate and he didn’t like thst at All ! I CAN NOT STAND THIS MINDSET ! It Is One Of SELFISHNESS AND PLAIN IGNORANCE ! I Am sick and tired of seeing the sick die too soon ! Now Texas has more Uninsured than We do in Fl !

It is Not Fun to haggle over healthcare ! To have to put up with Debt and Bankruptcy ! Just to Stay Alive ! This is the stress of What Next ! Can I go to a Doctor ? See A Specialist ,have tests if needed etc ? It is a terrible tradgedy in Our Nation ! To see The Martin Shkrelli’s of the World try to Jack Medicine Prices Up  ! A nightmare for those of us who need them just to Live !

You Shouldn’t have to be Uninsured in America ! But due to the Willfull ignorance of some I am ! The ACA was my chance at dignity and peace of mind ! I want Healthcare badly it absolutely is so frustrating to be Uninsured too and see others with insurance cards get care ! It is NOT FAIR AND ITS NOT RIGHT ! While I have to Worry and Think WHAT NEXT ?

The Solution of Course to #ExpandMedicaidNow ! So We can get quality care ! Because Public Clinics and Hospitals will continue to close until this gers fixed ! Then what We The Uninsured  die at home  or on the street ? Victims of A SICK SELFISH MORALLY BSNKRUOT GROUP OF PEOPLE ? ….I HOPE NOT ! That is why I Fight to See All Insured Join me Help Us America and The World ! We The Uninnsured Need and Deserve Dignity ! And Not Pain Suffering Fear and Death ! But Life Lived to ITS FULL POTENTIAL ! Help Us to #ExpandMedicaidNow Please ? Its Your Choice America and The World ! Ignore Us  or Save Us !
