My Friends He is at it again ! The Governor of My State Florida (R) Rick Scott ! Yes He of Columbia HCA Hospitals Fame !  Yes as the meme above shows he denied We The Sick and Poor of Fl Dental care !  There are Currently 1 Million Uninsured in Fl.

As You can see in the above meme featuring myself Amy Rodriquez and Gen Rodriguez.  We are The Faces of the people Gov Scott does not want YOU TO SEE ! We Are The Uninsured of Florida !  Genesis suffers from Chronic Lung Disorder. Had part of one lung removed ! And currently uses cough syrup as medicine. As proper Medicines for her Respiratory Condition cost $10,000.00 per month ! Amy her Mom is a Part Time Social Worker and has no insurance too ! All of Us Fall into a situation no one should be in : Healthcare Limbo !  We face debt and death ! Why Gov Scott of course ! He of Turn a blind eye and Tin ear to his neediest citizens !  We Go the Hospitals because of him for Medical Treatment   because he refuses to #ExpandMedicaidNow as meme below says.

I Wholeheartedly Applaud the Courage of #CaraJennings for standing up to him for We The Uninsured !  We must as She said :” :”#StopRickScott !”  He has allready caused Charlene Dill to die too young  She too needed Medicaid ! She died working 3 jobs on a strangers porch ! Needing access to a Doctor and Medicine ! Sound Familiar All ? 

Yes Our Governor the man who opposed a Minimum wage hike to $15.00. And belives YALE and Silicon Valley will come to Florida ! Why should they they have it great in Connecticut and  California ! The People there  that work will get paid $15.00 per hour in CA. And in Both Conn. And CA. They did #ExpandMedicaidNow thus insuring the poor and showing compassion for the most vulnerable in Society ! Unlike Greedy Rick Scott ! Who the People of California told to GET LOST ! When he tried to steal jobs from them for Florida ! 

Gov .Scott  also denies #ClimateChange ! Thus with water levels rising could lead to many in Florida being homeless one day !  Plus puts the Uninsured like myself and Genesis at risk due to high humidity levels ! Thus making it hard for me an asthmatic and Genesis to Breathe ! 

In Short my friends this man is an incompetent,  unfeeling, cold menace ! Who wants to Run for U.S. Senate or the White House in the Future ! We must #StopRickScott ! He turned a blind eye to #TreyvanMartin and #JordanDavis too ! Who too died and Got  No Justice in Florida !  Because our Gov lets people have guns who shouldn’t too ! 

My Thoughts :
“Governor Rick Scott is a Public Health Menace to Florida ! Due to his negligent attitude and actions towards his people !”

Gov. Scott asks for Federal Funds for #ZikaVirus But if you get it and are poor he would not #ExpandMedicaidNow to treat you !  So isn’t that great !  This shows how he doesn’t have the ability to make wise decisions ! 

Therefore my friends We must #StopRickScott ! He is a danger to us All
We must #ExpandMedicaidNow, #ClosetheGap ,have #Justice in Florida, and #FightFor15 to #StopRickScott ! So We by doing this #StopRickScott and his inhumane agenda !

My Friends May is an important month for Healthcare. May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. This is a vital cause as many suffer silently going with out access to care. In some cases this can lead to the destruction of entire families.  Some who are related some as innocent victims. Due to people who suffer not being able to get treatment ! It is a cause of alot of Gun Violence in America !  Many suffer from Depression, Anxiety, Bi Polar Disorder, and Substance Abuse. They could be your Family,  Friends, coworkers, or neighbors. 

As my meme above shows Many seek Treatment in the Hospital Emergency Room. This is not the proper place for them either. Jail and the Prison system are not also, The Solution and need is access to Long Term Psychological Care in the form of a Therapist or Doctor. With access to Medications and Therapies Long Term.

In Some states this problem is being solved by #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Provding through Medicaid access to Mental Health Treatment ! Thus impoving the lives of those suffering.  Not all with Mental Health Issues are Violent. But they still through no treatment of tneir illness can destroy lives especially their own.

18 States Refuse to #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Its #Impact  on the communities In them is not always good ! Too many result in Gun Tradgedies that are preventable. Too many act in anger due to their illnesses harming many innocent adult’s and kids. The result of Selfish greedy, Spiteful Politicians !

Is There a way to stop this ? If so why hasn’t it happened ? Yes there is a way ! By #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Then those seking help can get access to vital Mental Health Services ! Thus keeping Families intact, and saving innocent lives ! By providing access to a Doctor or Therapist, those who suffer can heal !  Not harm themselves or others !
Thus preventimg crime and saving lives ! Keeping families intact also.

And many can also develop Mental Health issues from being Sick and Uninsured ! The Stress of living in Poverty creats Anxiety, and Depression. As does not being able to afford Healthcare ! The mere fact of Bankruptcy causes this too ! Plus not being able to afford Medications ! This is what many We Do Not See Face daily ! !t is a Hidden Epidemic !  That can destroy ! Yet if Access to Care is Available Will Save Lives !  The Choice is Yours America See people suffer silently ! Or Heal them and Give them Dignity by #ExpandMedicaidNow ! Thus saving lives and Families in the process !
For Those Who Need To Please Seek Treatment ! You will not only help yourself but others around you too ! Thus getting you out of the Dark and into the Light ! There are options out there and peolple who care and want to help you !  I too have sought help and my life is better for it !  Yours Will Be Too !

My Friends today I have an Update on My friends Amy and Genesis Rodriquez.  Yesterday they were in a car accident. Genesis is ok . She had a few Bruises. But Amy had a few cuts to her face and Bruising. Was taken by Ambulance to The Hospital ER.

She is ok today but very sore. She was told by The ER to see a Plastic Suregeon. She went today, and being Uninsured can not afford it. She told them this. Amy is ok and doing better.

The Problem lies with people in Our Health Care system who Do Not Live in Reality ! Yes Doctors I mean some of YOU ! Not All of Us Can afford Specialists or Co-Pay’s. Many Seniors live this now If their network doesn’t cover it ! They do without ! Many Uninsured do the same thing. Myself I had to cancel lab work because I needed my co-pay for a mole to be removed and examined. We the Uninsured simply need a system that is affordable to Us. Therefore we must expand The ACA with #ExpandMedicaidNow ! This way We can regularly see Doctors and Specialists if needed !

The Doctors mean well but must help us too ! We must be able to afford quality Affordable Healthcare ! It shouldn’t be a Privelege for The Few who Can Pay ! But For All Period ! The Doctors should fight for us as it helps them too. By giving patients more options and better outcomes.

My Friends last week I learned of yet another Healthcare Outrage in Florida my home state. The Florida State House and Senate both Republican Controlled. Came up with a Bill to help Poor Floridians like me have access to Dental care, But yet again Dr No aka Florida Governor Rick Scott (R)  (Pictured Below) Vetoed The Bill. He really must aspire to be a DEATH PANELIST ! Because every bill to help the poor in Florida he kills !

The Picture is The truth ! He is the Worst Governor this state has ever had ! Friend of Money not the People of Florida ! It is very sad when both The Florida State House and Senate work together,  and the Governor stops them. As it is in Florida two of the three bodies (Legislative- House Senate  /  Executive Givernor) Are not on the same page. The State Senate supported Medicaid Expansion, the House and Governor do not in Florida.  So it is ironic that the house and Senate will help the poor in Fl witn dental care, Yet Governor Scott will not !

Yes 1 Million Uninsured in Florida with bad teeth ! Yet Governor  Scott says Medicaid can cover dental ! Well Governor IT CAN’T BECAUSE You Will Not #ExpandMedicaidNow Leaving us Uninsured and going to Our Local Hospital Emergency Room for Dental treatment instead of A dentist. 

Two Examples I can give you. Myself I have been Uninsured over 30 years. Have not had dental care for over 32 years ! Why you ask. I can not afford it. Ironically if and When I am Insured I do plan to see a dentist. My teeth need it ! Some even fell out ! Many are like me and can not afford the luxury of seeing a Dentist.

Some like my Friend Amy Rodriguez go into debt to do this. In Amy’s case her daughter Genesis Rodriquez needed Braces to help her breathe.The reason is Genesis has a severe respiratory Lung issue, as she has part of her one lung removed !  The same Genesis who needs $10,000.00 worth of Medicine each month ! Yet the braces cost Amy $4,000.00 total ! Money she could have used on Medicine ! But no Thanks to Governor Scott not giving us Access to Dental Care or #ExpandMedicaidNow ! She is in debt like many in the Healthcare nightmare in Florida ! Pictured Below Amy and Genesis Rodriquez.

So For All of Us in Florida We must #ExpandMedicaidNow . Because that toothache could lead to something very serious. So serious it could kill you ! Yes people die from lack of Dental care ! So America Its Up to you to stop The Death Panels ! As it is like Root Canal for We The Uninsured in Florida !

My Friends Our Mission At #ExpandMedicaidNow is All Insured. But A new trend is happening for both The Uninsured and Insured. Prescription Price Gouging. Many are again starting to Fear going without medicine. Many use home remedies or over the counter soloutions. Two very risky propositions to do, when dealing with your health.

For example A Person has insurance and usually has an affordable Co Pay. But the Insurance will not cover the prescription ! What do you do Go Without ? Many are facing this as Big Pharmaceutical Companies are soaking All ! Many of Our Most Vulnerable Our Disabled and Seniors Face this now. It is a nightmare A choice of Food or Medicine ! A death sentence either way !

Many medicines are getting more expensive. The Reason Greed ! It seems with the success of The ACA Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) many are looking to cash in !  Chief among the Wall Street Investors ! Who have said : “Prescription Drugs Will be the New Oil ! ”
Yes The same people who cause job and home losses now want to do Healthcare now !  A disaster that will kill.

Take For example my Friend Genesis Rodriguez A 21 year old who is sick and Uninsured in Fl. The reason Fl refuses to #ExpandMedicaidNow. And She needs it as she has a severe respiratory and lung disorder. Her medicines cost $10,000.00 per month !  What is Genesis doing about it ? She uses : Cough Syrup, and other over the counter remedies – Just to Stay Alive !! Absolutely disgusting and appaking in 2016 ! Thanks to a Heartless Governor Fl Gov Rick Scott (R). Who too made money off Healthcare ! HCA Columbia Hospital Chain.

But Genesis and the 1 Million Uninsured are not alone ! Soon many disabled and senior citizens will join her I fear. If nothing is done ! The era of Greed must end when it comes to Healthcare and Medicines. If not corporate America and the investors will become the DEATH PANELS !

So my Friends Wake Up. Price gouging of Medicine will have a deadly #Impact ! On someone you know or even you ! Wake Up America Stop The Death Panels before Its too Late !

My Friends I am disgusted with the Lack of Progress to #ExpandMedicaidNow . This is a very personal issue to me as I myself am Uninsured.  But seeing my friends Gen, Amy, and Stephany Rodriquez suffer is terrrible. Gen had to go to The Hospital ER Emergency Room this week. She is ok now but bravely battled a virus and 104 Degree Fever. She is ok now. Gen and Amy pictured below .

The Hospital Emergency Room is not A Primary Care Physician.  Too many of Us who are Uninsured have to Over Depend on The ER. We usually do not go Until it is really bad. Then we can not get well because We can not afford to Pay for or have a Primary Care Physician As many of Us work for little pay or are disabled and unable to work. Plus like in Gen Rodriguez case the cost of Medicines is too much. That is how being Uninsured has a bad #Impact on Us.

The Problem can be solved ! Its so simple its sickening. By Simply #ExpandMedicaidNow. But Governors in 18 states still refuse to do this, Medicaid Expansion will give the Uninsured access to Primary care physicians and access to Vital Life Saving Medicines. In Gen Rodriquez case it is Vital. Being Uninsured the Famiy can not like many afford to Get A Flu Shot. Thus putting them at another needless risk ! And even death.

Yes many go to the ER but still die like Charlene Dill did. People like Gen, Amy, Stephany myself and others deserve better America ! Charlene Dill deserved better but didn’t get it ! Can You wake Up We hate this nightmare ! We Want to Live ! Save Us Please America ? You can have A Great #Impact If You Do.

My Friends Normally I blog about healthcare and the need to #ExpandMedicaidNow ! But today I want to Encourage You to support a group of Brave Young people ! The #FightFor15  ! 

Who are They ? A group of young service workers and Part Time Professionals turned Activist ! Why are they activists ? Because Our Nation The United States of America has a huge problem. Many Workers are NOT PAID ENOUGH TO SURVIVE !  They make $7.50  per hour. And in America in 2016 it simply isn’t enough !  As prices go up wages wages didn’t.  Leaving many stuck or left behind.

So A movement of Fast Food Workers, Healthcare Professionals, and WhiteCollar Workers was born – The #FightFor15 ! Their goals :
1. A $15.00 per hour Minimum Wage
2. Unions in The WorkPlace
3. #Dignity

Many of These same people go without healthcare too. I hope We at #ExpandMedicaidNow #Impact can advocate for them.  They struggle to pay rent and buy food to feed their families. Thus a need For #Dignity !

So I ask you on Thursday 4/14/2016 America to Care ? Care about those who work hard for little , and are sick and tired of it ! So Sick They are fighting for their #Dignity.  Talk to them ask what life is like for them. And Go on Social Media #FightFor15 and help Show what is really hapening to the American Worker. But above All demand Better for those who work hard for Very Little. So We All Can have A Better America.  One where All have #Dignity. Raising The Wage to $15.00 Is a Great Start towards it ! Are You going to Help America ?

My Friends today I am VERY ANGRY  ! I am sick and tired of hearing The Conservative mantra of Get A Job You Are A Freeloader !  I know someone who did that and guess what ….It Did Not Work For Her !!

Pictured above is my Friend Genesis Rodriquez (Pictured Above) who I have tirelessly advocated for. You see In Case You missed it Genesis is a Sick 21 yr old lady. At age 17 due to years of Respiratory and Asthma issues had part of one lung surgically removed.  Since then she has aged out of the Medicaid SCHIP STATE CHILDRENS HEALTH INITIATIVE PROGRAM . She is Uninsured and her Mom Amy Rodriquez is also due to not having enough income to qualify for The ACA. 

So Genesis in spite of her illness persevered ! She went to The Braman Automotive Tech School in Miami Fl. She became A Certified Automotive Technician. In spite of being ill ! She then was hired by Braman Automotive Group. Sad to say She was recently Terminated by them  Due to her illnesses. The Dealership which support the school hired her to work in their garage and was aware of her illness. Yet let her go. Instead of finding her a job She could do ! Just disgusting and I am angry for my friend.

Genesis worked Very hard at this goal and deserves better. Yet the Hypocrisy of the Conservatives continues on. Mr Braman owner of the Dealership is A Conservative and Big Republican Donor ! And opponent of The ACA !  So when someone does things their way by not asking for help but trying to better themselves its sickening ! They say Work hard and Genesis did that ! Get A job She did !

What did they do ? Throw A sick disabled Woman Under The Bus !  Gen wanted to Pay For her Healthcare ! Now Thanks to Mr Braman She again can not ! She was stuck as a student Uninsured ! Now she is like her mom and I – REALLY STUCK ! and Sick too ! Needing $10,000.00 A month worth of Medicines just to stay alive ! We tried GoFundMe it  isn’t working ! She needs Help today  ! Yet Gov Scott (R) Fl like his friend Mr Braman,  Willingly allow A 21 yr old Young Lady to Suffer !

This mentality of You don’t need Government help is a Sick Myth !  Many do sad to say !  Genesis tried it their way ! But guess what it only works if you have money ! If you are poor like Us – Forget it ! You are thrown away ! Left to suffer creully ! So now Genesis again needs #ExpandMedicaidNow to happen ! All because of Hypocrisy and A Lack of Compassion ! And Yes Opponents of #ExpandMedicaidNow This too Is Your Fault ! If people had jobs they could keep they wouldn’t need #ExpandMedicaidNow at All !  A decision made with a huge #Impact on Us All !

So my Friends We must Right this wrong done to Genesis Rodriguez ! Support #ExpandMedicaidNow and have A Positive #Impact  ! To  stop the negative actions of Mr Braman  and Gov Scott ! Their #Impact kills people needlessly ! While #ExpandMedicaidNow has a positive one of Saving Genesis myself and her Mom ! Think about it America ! What Will Your #Impact be ?

My Friends lately I have as I told you been doing some re evaluating on How We can Influence people on how important #ExpandMedicaidNow is for America ! Currently there are 18 States still holding out. Including mine Florida ! Really Great idea Fl Governor Rick Scott (R) – NOT ! To accept Federal Funds by #ExpandMedicaidNow

As my meme above says 1 Million Uninsured in Florida is Unacceptable.  It should be Unacceptable to All Americans.  Not just those in States that did not #ExpandMedicaidNow yet !

Do people really realize how much the Uninsured affect others daily lives ? Well I am going to try to provide a few examples and their #Impact here !

1. Accident or Crime Victims who are Uninsured ! If Uninsured and this is YOU ! Be Prepared to Declare Personal Bankruptcy ! The cost of  Out Patient Care Will be astrnomical. Plus if you do not recieve Hospital Charity which this year ends It is a personal financial disaster wairing to happen to You !

2. Service Workers : The people who wait on you in Restaurants and In Retail Stores.  Many make $7.50 per hour and struggle to live. Healthcare is a luxury to them. They should recieve Medicaid but in those 18 states are not ! Thus the #RaiseTheWage and #FightFor15 movements are happening now !

3. White Collar Part Time Workers like my friend Amy Rodriguez who simply do not make enough to buy insurance ! Due to the Fact they are NOT FULL TIME WORKERS !

4. Students and Young people entering the work force whose own parents are Uninsured. Like Amy Rodriquez Daughter Genesis who is a Student and future member of the work force. Genesis has severe respiratory health issues, and her medicine alone costs over $10,000.00 per month. Currently she uses over the couner remedies and EMERGENCY ROOM Visits to stay alive ! Not a good way to treat the young people who are sick and Poor !

5. Persons with Mental Health Issues : it actually is cheaper to #ExpandMedicaidNow than jail them. Or treat them so no violent crime occurs involving anyone. Yes its a Crime Deterrent too. Because if persons in Examples 1-4 are involved as victims it is a disaster.

Who Pays for the victims ? Usually GoFund me or a Charity. Or Bankruptcy ! And Yes with Hospital Charity We the tax payer All Pay ! Thus it does #Impact You and Me as Americans ! Its actually Cheaper to #ExpandMedicaidNow than use charity ! But the stubborn penny pinchers do not get it ! They cost more with their way than #ExpandMedicaidNow !

So My Friends You #Impact this issue of #ExpandMedicaidNow too. How by just dealing with others in it ! So next time I hope you will decide to #SpeakUp and #StepUp for WE THE UNINSURED. Who suffer in Silence ! Working hard for you !

These pages are talking about the lives of Ordinary Americans,  and their struggles.

We At #Impact  intend to support #RaisetheWage, #FightFor15,  #Immigration, #Education. Plus  Solutions on #ClimateChange #CivilRights #DisabilatyRights, #Poverty #Gunsense, #GunSafety, #Communities, #SafeCommunities,  #Elderly  and Of Course #ExpandMedicaidNow. I personally  support these causes and those who fight for them.

So our Goal at #Impact is to again Be A Voice For The Voiceless. On these issues ! We simply must #SpeakUp and #StepUp ! We will feature issues and stories having An #Impact on Our : World, Nation, States, Communities, and Families ! We encourage you to make a positive Impact ! That is the goal of this to Have an #Impact and get #Change that is desperately needed to happen !  The Page will Support Issues We Face, and Expand Medicaid Now on Social Media.
