My Friends We have a few days left before the election.  But One issue is Not going away.  And If Not Fixed it will kill. The Issue The Ridiculously High Price of Prescription Medications.

We at #ExpandMedicaidNow #Impact have been advocating on this for months. But For Me It hit Home last week. The Pharmacy I Buy one of My Asthma Medicines From. Winn Dixie closed many of its pharmacies recently.  The Medicine is The Generic Version of Singular.  MONTELUKAST SODIUM. .This cost me $15.00 per 30 Tablets. This was affordable.  Now at 3 Competitors  Publix, CVS, Walgreens. It will cost me $133.00 Per 30 Tablets. Being Uninsured i can Not Afford that. Walgrrens had a discount to $77.00 Per 30 Tablets.  Still Way Too High. I went through alot this week on this. I almost had a Heart Attack from the Shock  of the Price. !! The Stress of Being Uninsured is Too Much  !! This is a Burden No One Insured or Not Should have. 

For Example My Friends Amy Rodriguez and her Daughter Gen Rodriguez Gen has only one Functioning Lung and only 25% Of the other.due to Respiratory Illness. She is Uninsured and in the past  Used Claritin and Cough Syrup. The Reason She can’t afford her Medications They Cost her $10,000.00 Per Month.  Her Mom Amy is Uninsured and  suffers too. 

It is Bad Enough to not be able to see a Doctor.  We The Uninsured do this.But to Go Without Medicine too is Horrible.  And An Instant Death Sentence. It is NOT JUST THE UNINSURED FACING THIS. Our Elderly Face this.As  The deductibles. in Their Insurance Plans Will Not Pay or Be Met. 

It is a Scary proposition going without Healthcare but especially without Medicines. You suffer needlessly.  I Personally Am Scaired. To Death.I hope i can Be Blessed with A Miracle and Can pay for my Medicines Long Term.But because of Greed and Selfishness Many suffer including myself.  

For Example in Fl had Gov Scott decided to take Federal Medicaid Expansion Dollars and #CloseTheFlGap and #ExpandMedicaidNow. Amy Gen and Myself Would have access to Affordable Medicines. So would One Milliion others who are Uninsured ! How about our Elderly Should they suffer too ?  Due to Co Pays and Greed on the Part of Big Pharma  ??  

This Is A Moral Outrage and Injustice.  It Can Happen to Anyone at Any Time. Bad Health and Poverty Do Not Discriminate  !! That is why I wrote this today. We must stop the Greed of Big Pharma.  It Is KILLING US NOT Saving Us. We must #ExpandMedicaidNow #CloseTheFlGap and Insure All. And Put A Cap on The Outrageous Prices. Please If You Read this Do Two Things 

1. VOTE OUT CANDIDATES WHO FIGHT AGAINST YOU HAVING ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE AND  MEDICINES.

My Friends November 8,2016 Is A Huge Day in America.  It is Election Day..We Will be choosing A New President Of The United States Of America.  And We in Florida play a Huge Role in this. 

But There is a Race Locally which is Huge. The Race For Miami Dade County Mayor.  It pits incumbent Mayor Carlos Gimenez against Former Miami Dade County School Board member Raquel Regalado.  

I Support Ms Regalado For County Mayor.  Mayor Gimenez has left us with Failed promises and No Plans.He has tried to cut Public Transit. He did cut Public Safety putting his citizens at risk.

Here are 10 Great Reasons To Vote For Raquel Regalado 

1. She Was Born and Raised herr. That says something.  She could have left after College but chose to stay and help her community. 

2. She Is Active in The Community. She Was a School Board member. She hosts a Public Affairs TV and Radio Program also.

3. She is An Animal Lover.  She Supports Animal Rights and Advocates. And The No Kill Shelter. 

4. Family Oriented She was Born here and Chose to Raise her Family here. Her Parents – Father Mayor Tomas Regalado of Ciry of Miami and Mother Raquel were and are active in The Community.  Raquel Regalado is a Loving Mom who brings that special perspective to Public Service.

MY Eriends Even A Hurricane like #HurricaneMatthew Did Not stop #ExpandMedicaidNow #Impact.  Thank The Lord. But my heart goes out to All who lost durung this horrible storm. Which is Where I begin. I gave alot of thought that there are others who are not given any thought to .An Unseen segment of the population who may suffer a Catastrophic Event like A Hurricane. Plus a few thoughts on Mr Trump and #ZikaVirus.  

I am Talking about the #Uninsured. Like myself and Amy Rodriguez . No One Thinks about the Double Whamny of getting hit by a Catastrophic Hurricane, then Getting Hurt Physically from it. If Uninsured it truly is a DOUBLE CATASTROPHIC EVENT. First You May lose property, then an injury occurs or you get sick. Ok For Now Hospital Charity will pay.Next Year that changes,as LIP LOW INCOME POOL FUNDS end. So YOU Face Doctor Bills and other Medical Expenses YOU CAN’T PAY.Thus leading You To Bankruptcy.  A Favorite Tool of GOP PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE #DonaldTrump.  This is a disaster many do not need. First lose your Home Maybe ? Then You are sick or hurt.No Home, No Funds ,No Credit. A disastrous situation.  

But In Florida due to Our Governor #RickScott  (R) Refusing to #ExpandMedicaidNow #CloseTheFlGap We Face a New Public Health Issue. #ZikaVirus.  In addition to #Hurricanes.  Recently A Miami Beach Police Officer Contracted #ZikaVirus. She has Healthcare but is getting a hard time from the City. (HER EMPLOYER). My question is this : What Do We The Uninsured do If We Get #ZikaVirus  ?? We Should Not be in this mess. But Miami Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez knew 8 Months ago and he and Gov Scott both did little early preparations.  They waited and Now People are Sick. Which is A Double Whammy because Gov Scott and Mayor Carlos Gimenez both OPPOSE MEDICAID EXPANSION. So Both are responsible For The illness that needlessly happened. Had they worked to #ExpandMedicaidNow and #CloseTheFlGap at least people could see  a Doctor and Get Well if Infected. But NO THEY CAN’T EVEN DO THAT FOR THEIR PEOPLE. 

Finally #DonaldTrump Yes I  have a few opinions on The #Debates.  Mr Trump is A Bully and A Vulgar  Pig.His Treatment of Women is also how he Treats the Uninsured.  Its All about Him. Not You America. He has a So called Healthcare Plan .This Plan Will return 30 Million People to being Uninsured. Why If You have a Prexisting Condition You are Worthless to #TrumpCare.it is A Healthcare setback our nation doesn’t need. 

Between Scott Gimenez and Trump I Do not know who is worse for the Poor, Sick, and Uninsured.  I support #HillaryClinton  (D) For President as She wants to Fix Our Healthcare system. Not destroy it like Mr Trump.  I also support #RaquelRegalado For Miami Dade County Mayor.  As she is ProActive on #ZikaVirus unlike Mayor Carlos Gimenez. 

We The Uninsured need Help America.  A Vote For #DonaldTrump and #CarlosGimenez will aďd maybe You to The Ranks of Thr Uninsured.  It’s A Good Reason to Vote. Because Misleaders like Trump, Scott, and Gimenez Will make you sick needlessly.  Yes and Maybe even KILL. YOU .

My Friends Today i am going to Present A Nightmare Scenario to you.  This involves Republican Party Presidential Nominee Donald J Trump.  He of Big Bulidings, Bluster and Broken Promises.

Yes Broken Promises America.  Mr Trump talks a great gsme, but never delivers on much. His track record is pitiful.  Sure he can make  High Rise buildings appear. Nice but that’s not Governing !  

Part of Government is the SOCIAL CONTRACT To Protect All Citizens – Regardless of Income.  Part of this is having a Healthcare System that helps All in Society.  Whether Rich or Poor . Sick or Healthy.

Mr Trump has the Bright idea to Replace the #ACA ( THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT).  with something else. He hates as he calls it OBAMACARE. As he says:”It Stinks” 

Well Mr Trump to 30 Million People with PREXISTING CONDITIONS It Saves Their Lives ! Yes Prior to the #ACA We had 30 plus Million Uninsured in America.  Why because BIG INSURANCE wouldn’t touch them. The Reason : Sick People Cost Too Much ! Under The ACA this blatant heartless discrimination was stopped.

*** Yes However Currently in America there are an estimated 8 Million Uninsured in 19 States. Due to Goverors refusing to Take Federal Medicaid Expansion Dollars.  And #ExpandMedicaidNow and #CloseTheFlGap.  Of which this Author is One of. 

So Under Mr Trump We could potentially have an estimated 40 to 50 Million Uninsured in America.  

With Trump’s Bright idea i ask this : Where Do We The Sick and Uninsured go for Medical Care or Help ?  The Hospital Not Gonna Work Donnie !  Many are closing now. Due to too many Uninsured still. And A Hospital can only get you well enough to Function.  Access to A Primary Care Physician or Specialist Is needed. Under The ACA you get this. Say Good Bye to it If You Vote For Trump. As will Discounts on Prescription Medications.  #MartinSkerelli #EpiPen Anyone ?? Remember them it will be your healthcare Future with A Trump Presidency ! 

But Its Not Just Trump Libertarian Gary Johnson has No Plan And Green Party candidate Jill Stein only cares about Climate change.

My Friends As a Healthcare Advocate I am Disgusted and Outraged. Why The Constant Speculation overDemocratic Presidential nominee  Hillary Clinton and Her Health. On Sundauy she was Ill at the 9/11 Memorial Service. 

Of Course All The National Media made it a Circus. There was erroroneous reports of Her having a Seizure.  This was false. Information.  Maybe even spread by Republican Presidential Nominee #DonaldTrump surrogates to smear her.As usual the Media bit on it. It turns out that Hillary Clinton had PNUEMONIA and was ILL  from it. Not A Seizure ! 

But For The past two days All you hear on TV is : IsvHillary well ? I Say Enough. She is A PUBLIC FIGURE. And  still should be entitled to A Right of Privacy on her Medical Health .You see There is something Called The Patient Privacy Protection Act aka : The #HIPPALAW ! 

This Law allows All of Us to have Privacy when seeking Any Kind of Medical Treatment.  No One can know without YOUR PERMISSION what you are being treated for..It Is A Law – A Federal One. 

So My point is why are members of the media and Donald J Trump himself playing doctor ? Doesn’t Hillary Clinton deserve the Right to Medical Privacy too ?

Would The members of The National Media ,and even some on Social Media like it ?  If It was Them Under The Microscope.imagine This :

Breaking News : Major Media Persons Falls ILL ! Then speculation starts on them ? So my point being All Public Figures do Deserve A Right  to Medical Privacy.

Which does make it tough to advocate For the Uninsured.  But the way media act to some : It’s Not Worth It ! To Me It Is . But i Understand.

My Friends To many of You it is No Secret I am a Person of Faith. I am Proud of It. But at the same time I am Exremely Tolerant of Those Not Like Me. And I am Different too. At my Former Church Calvary Chapel Hollywood.  My purpose was to #InsureAll as many are Uninsured in my State Fl.. When  Gov Scott  (R) heartlessly refused to #ExpandMedicad . So along the Way I Founded #ExpandMedicaidNow. 

But Today i am disgusted by the memes Tweeted by Pastor Mark Burns.  He A Spiritual Supporter of GOP PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE Donald J Trump. The memes Depicting Democratic Presidential  Candidate Hillary Clinton in BLACK FACE !! Yes In BLACK FACE. It was vile and Racist. In No Way Should A Man Or Woman of God Ever Do Such A Thing !! Yes I Do Support Hillary Clinton. 

But As A person of Faith I am Angered and Disgusted at this behavior.  As A PASTOR YOU ARE GOD’S Chosen and Anonited Spokesperson.  But Apparently Pastor Burns didn’t get the memo. He is Worshipping At The First Church of Trump. !  

Being A Man or Woman of God is not easy. I know I Live it. People wait for you to Fall. But to Cheapen it with Hate is just disgusting and Outrageous.  

We As Christians Are People of Love. Jesus Commanded Us To do so. To espouse Hate Is Not Christian.  At least not what Christ tells me to do.He called me to Serve with Love For The Sick, The Poor and Hurting. And i do it. I say GOD BLESS on Facebook and Twitter.  People hate it sometimes. But i am Blessed to do what i do to try to Help others. But Pastor Burns well…..he apparently is Preaching A Different Gospel. One of Greed and Hate. To Cheapen God like he has is Horrible.  Amos and Andy Got cancelled for BLACKFACE.Yet Pastor Burns himself Black used a Cartoon with it of Hillary Clinton. Pastor Burns It is 2016 . Hate by You or Mr Trump must be Called Out Not hidden away !! 

I saw many MEN OF GOD FALL. For less than this. Yet Pastor Burns continues why i do not know. I saw a Pastor Resign over A Moral Failing.  It was sad but he did the right thing.  Unlike Pastor Burns. And Yes Preaching Hate is A MORAL FAILING. 

Pastor Burns You Must Step Down . For the Faith. It isn’t about YOU .No matter what Mr Trump tells you, or Pays You !! 

You see when you are a Man or Woman of God.  You account to A Lot more . Its called Jesus.You represent him First. We are Called to be ChristLike. But this Pastor Burns is Far from it. 

Jesus Warned of False Prophets.  This may be one. His love of Greed and Hate show it. 

Lets Hope The Gospel of Truth Peace and Love Wins.That is The True Jesus.Who I Love and Serve.

My  Friends I  wrote to you two weeks ago about our Miami  Dade  County Mayoral Race. Yesterday The Miami Hearld Foolishly Endorsed Incumbent Mayor Carlos Gimenez. (Pictured Below) Over his opponent Raquel Regalado  (Pictured Above).

Mayor Carlos Gimenez is a disaster waiting to happen For #MDC.Talk about Lucky he is  Considering All the decisions hr made . Some of Them below 

1. Closed County  Firehouses Taking Units Out of Service For one day Also Put County Fireboat in Dry dock 

2 .Closed or Eliminated Public Libraries 

3  Proposed Cutting 30 Bus Routes leaving poor residents stranded. 

4  Cut The Gang Suppression Unit – giving an increase in Youth shootings ie #KingCarter #TequillaForshee 

5 Failed on Pets Trust

6  Cuts to Funds on Domestic violence and Rape Kits.

7  Failed to prepare for #ZikaVirus adequately

8  Not Prepared when Federal LIP.LOW INCOME POOL FUNDS are sunset . To save Jackson Healthcare System. He opposed #MedicaidExpansion and Will not help #CloseTheFlGap and #ExpandMedicaidNow. Dooming the Uninsured. 

You see items 7 and 8 are relevant because #ZikaVirus is A Public Health Emergency and Many Uninsured in Fl are in Miami Dade county. Yet the only Way Mayor Gimenez solves problems is to Cut them.

We need a change in Leadership and Raquel Regalado is That change.  Ms Regalado is Well qualified.  She has served in Public as a member of The Miami Dade County School Board.she is A tireless advocate For The disabled, Stidents, Workers and Our Pets too.Unlike Mayor Carlos Gimenez She has been a Champion of The people not Big Money. She also is Supporting Local Campaign Finance reform.  

All of the above issues with Mayor Gimenez. Will not happen as She is Prepared to Lead Miami Dade County.  She is Committed to Public Safety. She is tired of The Gun Violence.  She wants to increase Public Safety not cut it like Mayor Carlos Gimenez. She is Committed to #Gunsense and to #DisarmHate in Our Community 

Ms. Regalado is ahead of Mayor Gimenez  on #ZikaVirus.  She has been advocating solutions on Social Media.She also wants to solve problems for all.And will work with all at The Local, State, and Federal Level as an Advocate.     Unlike Mayor Gimenez who failed to cooperate with Miami Beach Mayor Levine on it. And Doesn’t Fight for his citizens. on Anything. 

In short #ZikaVirus is a Crisis and Mayor Gimenez who got lucky on the items abovr. May not this time. He was a Firefighter.  But as a Mayor he is not up.to the challenge of fixing Miami Dade County. 

In Short No more of Mayor Gimenez and his budget cuts which harm not help. He only helps Developers not all Miami Dade County. Putting Government up for sale. 

So That is why We must elect Raquel Regalado as Miami Dade CountyMayor.
